Room: large, with a very comfortable bed - tick. Bathroom: spotless, towels changes every day which is not always the case for a B&B - tick, and oh don't forget the best power shower (that's what they are called, I think?..) I ever had to deal with while in the UK or Ireland - I kid you not, for someone with lots of thick hear they might sometimes be a challenge - but not this one: PLENTY of hot water!! - so... tick. Breakfast: amazing and leaving us full till well after lunch time - tick. The hosts: just plain wonderful - tick. Thank you, Frank and Joan!!

Frank and Joan offer a step back in time with their elegant formal breakfast and hospitality. Victorian decor, neat and clean, with large comfortable rooms. Friendly hosts who made us feel most welcome. Close to all of the center city action. Easy stroll into town.

This is an outstanding inn to stay while in Galway. Frank is the most gracious host one could hope for. From the warm reception upon arrival to the advise about the city and area to the best breakfast selection we had while in Ireland, this was a first rate stay. The location is excellent, the rooms very good and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else upon my return. Frank handled all aspects of our stay, from guidance about the area to some concerns we had in the most admirable manner. We are happy to have made the acquaintance of Frank and Joan and their inn.

This B&B was outstanding. Other than the tiny car parking accommodations, everything else was superb. The breakfasts were wonderful. Prepare yourself for a tasty, hearty breakfast because the meal will last you all day. The host was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit.

I'm not usually a B & B kind of guy. Petra House could change that. Location 5 minutes from the downtown, nearby a stadium, which can be noisy if there is a match on. Breakfast sensational -- just you even try to get a small portion. Rooms more than adequate and very comfortable. Best of all, Frank -- our new (but transient) best friend. Who needs TripAdvisor in Galway when you got Frank. His advice was spot-on. No wonder Petra House is deservedly so highly rated.
