The only minor difficulty with the hotel is that it is hard to find the parking when you first arrive. However, other than that we had a great stay. The hotel is in a fine location for exploring Galway on foot. Our room was quite comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was quite good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And a reasonable price, too!

From the minute you arrive to your check out you feel welcomed. The front desk team, bar and restaurant staff are trained to the highest standard. The rooms are above the norm and the location couldn't be better. This is my home in the west.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe rooms. Treat yourself...

The location was great. Right by eyre square and by the train station. The room was extremely comfortable and the property was clean. The best thing about this property is the staff. My father was travelling with me and became extremely ill in the middle of the night. The night porter got us new bedding and such and was most helpful. I could not have asked for greater professionalism. Fantastic. Would recommend to anyone. Additionally, the breakfast was nice with an extensive fruit selection...for those of us who cannot eat the irish breakfast everyday.

We stayed here November 2013 while my son was studying abroad. From start to finish, our stay was wonderful. We had a junior suite that was amazing. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms were big and beautiful. The staff were so warm and friendly, we felt like we knew them forever. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was great. We orginally stayed 3 nights, then left and headed to Ballynahinich Castle. But as soon as we got there, we decided that we really wanted to be back at the Park House. So, instead of staying 3 nights at Ballynahinch, we only stayed 2 and then went back to the Park House. It felt like we were back home. If I ever find my self in Galway again, I would stay here without a second thought. Truly a wonderful place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for the corner junior suites.

The hotel is nothing special itself, though i certainly has a charm to it. However, location is everything! We came into Galway from Shannon by bus and Park House is literally a two minute walk by taking an immediate right out of the station. Additionally, it's within a five minute walk to the major street in town and also a five minute walk to the New Coach Station where most bus tours leave from, definitely worth checking out for these conveniences!

The Park House Hotel is truly fabulous. The four star hotel is located just off Eyre Square and is close to many bars and restaraunts. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is very quiet and we slept well. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was delightful and there was a wide variety of choice; from american pancakes to a full Irish. The hotel is close to many bars and restaraunts, I would recommend the Taaffe bar which has music every day at 5:30 and 9:30. I can't find a single fault in satying in the Park Hotel. Perfect for families, couples and friends.

Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during a trip to the West Coast of Ireland. As soon as we drove into the valet carpark we knew we were onto a winner. The porter greeted us, helped us get our bags out of the car and escorted us into the hotel. The first thing we noticed was how lovely all the lobby and bar areas were - the hotel had a really warm and welcoming feel to it - very elegant, classic and homely.

Even the landings and corridors were decorated with a lot of care and attention, with Persian type patterning on the carpets, soft lighting, lovely pictures on the wall and beautiful furniture and vases.

Things were good once we got to our room, which was very quiet and also had lovely classic decoration. We had hoped it would be a king bed but instead it was a queen, which was still fine for us.

Next thing to mention is the breakfast, which was one of the best I've had in a hotel. You could get cooked food to order (I had full Irish breakfast one morning, and pancakes the next - both were delicious), but also they had freshly prepared fruit salad (with real fruit, not canned) and lovely cakes and pastries including scones made fresh on the premises (some of the best scones I've ever had!). The breakfast room itself (which serves as the restaurant at night) is beautifully decorated and gives you the feeling of being in some kind of an Art Deco dining room - it was just a really nice space to eat in, and made for a really enjoyable start to the day. The staff at breakfast were really nice and chatty as well, which made you feel very welcome.

Opting for the simpler and slightly cheaper dinner option, we had dinner in the bar both nights. The first evening when we got there we were quite frazzled after a long drive. One of the waiters saw us standing in the lobby looking confused and asked if he could help - he ended up taking us into the bar, fixing us a drink and looking after us until he could get us a table - all of which was much appreciated by these two tired travelers. Meals on both nights were enjoyable - we sampled roast lamb one day and the following day I had roast vegetables and husband had chicken Maryland which he also enjoyed. As far as the dinners went, it wasn't anything our of this world, but it was nice for what it was. We also had a great fruit pavlova for dessert one night.

Overall I can't recommend this hotel highly enough - really high quality food, wonderful service and warm ambiance in a very convenient location in the heart of Galway - what more could you ask for?
