Certificate of Excellence

the staff in Park House Galway were excellent. From arrival the porter took our cases and delivered them to our room; meantime we checked in and were given Coffee and cake. The staff at reception were really pleasant and welcoming. As my wife has MS we had asked for a disabled room, and this was excellent; really well laid out and met our needs. As for the bar and restaurant (we eat 1 night in bar and 2 in the restaurant) the staff were very helpful, providing us with seats which were easily accessed. Breakfast was brilliant - my wife needed a mug as she can't grip a cup, and staff remembered this each morning. Staff were very thoughtful, making sure we got a booth (which they reserved for us!) to make it easier for my wife to access. The room also had a blue night light which was really helpful when my wife needed to visit the bathroom during the night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, disabled or able bodied, and we will be returning. The location is fabulous, right beside Eyre Square.

Room Tip: If required request a Disabled room which has roll in shower and it will be all on the flat. Any req...

This hotel deserves its number 1 rating in Galway as it is an excellent place to stay. Apart from its central location and well appointed rooms the staff are genuinely nice and helpful. Their restaurant is also fantastic. We met up with family members on our recent stay for a lovely meal which was also excellent value. Try the scallops which are amazing! We would highly recommend this hotel to other visitors looking for a hotel that still values customers above profits. We cant wait to get back.

Room Tip: The junior suites are great.

My stay there was inviting, comfortable, and food excellent. Staff were welcoming, friendly and eager to please. Management and porter were second to none with their assistance.
To sum it up I would say it was "a home away from home"

Looking forward to going there again.

Room Tip: I did not request a special room as during the many times I stayed there it was always quiet.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights this week. Upon arrival, we were extremely jet-lagged and just had driven in from the airport in Dublin. Our room wasn't ready, but they stored our luggage and said it would be ready in an hour. We went across the street to grab a bite and when we came back, the room was ready and our bags were waiting there for us; just as promised. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was smallish, but spotless. Free wi-fi in the room worked well.

Location can't be beat...3-5 minute walk to the Latin Quarter with lots of shops, restaurants, and pubs. There is a convenience store very nearby for water, etc.

If you are driving, the very small parking area is actually behind the hotel off of Fairgreen Road.

Fabulous family run hotel, rooms are fantastic. The breakfast was great, I had the smoked kippers and scrambled egg. All made fresh to order. Nice little bar with very friendly staff. Restaurant is BRILLIANT!! Food is to die for. Hotel has an air of grandeur and is sooooo comfy. Is situated on Eyre Square too. I've stayed here twice and will defo be back!

A weekend trip for 2 in Galway and this was our first visit to this hotel. The staff here are first rate and a warm welcome is guaranteed. The room we were given was large bright and spotless. We booked into the restaurant for our meal and there was nothing to complain about. The food was amazing as was the service. Breakfast is excellent with a choice of hot foods and a cold buffet. The bar is ok but lacks a little atmosphere. The only downside is the parking. The parking area is tiny and it was a job to park the car. If you book through the hotel and there is no room in the car park, then the hotel will pay for your parking in the nearby multi storey car park. If you book through another agency then you have to pay for your parking yourself. It is worth a visit and we will return.

This is a great hotel. We booked for 4 of us for 2 nights to include the gourmet dinner. I cannot think of a single critical remark to make. The rooms were excellent , the food absolutely first class and the staff were exceptional. Location is great, the Guiness in the bar is extremely well kept, and surprisingly good value for such lovely surroundings and such a central location. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the wonderful city of Galway.
