Ardawn House is at the very end of a row of B&B's. Reasonable price, our room was on the second floor at the top of the stairs and we had an excellent view of the greyhound track. Slightly noisy as races were going on at night time and there was a party going on at the track as well. About a 10 minute walk from downtown. Wifi was very intermittant and did not work on some devices. Breakfast was excellent -- have the salmon and scrambled eggs! Ask about the Guinness Room (I think it's Guinness, or some other beer that had a commercial flimed in it). 2 couples travelled together.

We wished that we could have stayed longer at the Ardawn House! It was a very clean and spacious B&B. It was within walking distance to the center of Galway and Michael provided us with a map upon arrival and he shared his favorite hangouts with us before we ventured out. Breda served us an amazing breakfast in the morning in a very cute dining room. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone travelling to Galway! We can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Ardawn House because of the rating in Rick Steves' book. Our room was on the top floor at the back and very quiet. The room, when we arrived, was very clean and the linens were lovely. There was only one glass provided for the two of us, so we had to go down to the first floor to get another. We stayed three nights. After the first night, all that was done to our room was having beds made. We never got clean glasses and the dirty ones were never removed. Nothing seemed to be done in the bathroom--we did not care if towels were washed daily, but they were not even picked up or folded. Our hostess seemed indifferent, and MIke had to be drawn out in order to be friendly. We (70+ year-old ladies) were offered no assistance with getting our luggage down three flights of stairs when we left. The breakfasts were quite good and the walk to the center of town not bad. We were happily looking forward to a much warmer place and were disappointed.

When we arrived (late) at Ardawn House, we were greeted warmly, and delighted to find our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Traveling with two kids, we tend to be more demanding than your average guest, but we were never made to feel anything other than welcomed wholeheartedly! My husband and I put the kids to bed, and ate our own dinner downstairs in the living room. Mike and Brenda were lovely, showing us where there was coffee, tea, water, and cookies, never making us feel like we were keeping them up late or imposing. They were unfazed by the rowdy children at breakfast, just calmly made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us great suggestions for what to see in Galway. After leaving, we discovered I had left my favorite newly purchased sweater in the room. They emailed that they had found it, along with some kids clothes, and mailed it back to us in the States (at their own expense!). While our stay was brief, we felt tremendously well cared for, and the accommodations were perfect.

We stayed for two nights in Galway and found this B&B to have a very nice and helpful staff. The food was very good. We felt this was a bit far from the town and at night on a rainy night it required a taxi ride. We were able to park our rental car in the front yard.

Room Tip: if stairs are a concern ask for a lower room.

The breakfast here is wonderful. We got the full Irish breakfast. They had a delicious fresh fruit salad (the real deal, freshly cut up, good fruit), and amazing jams. Out of all the B&Bs we went to in Ireland, the breakfast was the best here. Hosts are nice. Parking in front of house. Good location. Pleasant room.

Ardawn House was home base for me for my first week in Ireland and in Galway. Mike and Breda gave me a warm welcome and Mike helped me with my suitcases. My cozy room looked out on the greyhound track and the apple tree in Ardawn's back garden. Breakfast was delicious, and Breda gave me lots of touring and shopping tips. The walk to the coach station and Galway was easy and brief. I felt at home at Ardawn house.
