Description: Season permitting we grow as much of our own produce as possible on our ever expanding farm located in Moycullen located on the proposed Galway-Clifden Greenway. At peak growing season our greens & eggs have a 'plot to plate' time of minutes. We love craft beer & brewing in particular. When we're not developing our own beer recipes we are always looking at the exciting Irish Craft Beer scene with an emphasis upon the newer smaller brewers. Our menus are inspired by the Scandanavian style of eating with an Irish twist.

“Why so empty??”

My husband and I were wandering through Galway when we stumbled upon Dela. The decor was super inviting and we were exhausted, so in we went! The service was great, the food delish, and our server was not only charming, but allowed us to taste 3 whites so we could choose our favorite. We couldn't figure out why the restaurant was so empty! We saw many parties pause and peak in, only to keep walking. Hmmmmm. We're rooting for you Dela! PS, we're from NYC so we tend to be pretty harsh critics.

“Pleasant drop-in”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Came here after finding out our original target destination (Cava, as came recommended in our Jan 2012 Lonely Planet) had disappeared from the map. So much for old books - we later found out Dela has taken residence in Cava's old venues. We dropped in to an almost empty place early on a Sunday afternoon, only a few other patrons were present, but as we had been travelling since early that morning we were both urging for an early dinner.

Bread and butter were brought out shortly after orders were taken, and both the sundried tomato butter and pesto butter were absolutely wonderful and we asked for additional bread only so we could sample more of it. The smoked chicken starter with mango dressing was light and easy, and both the 10oz striploin and seabass were both very pleasant surprises. Dessert choices of the day were bread & butter pudding, and a smashed meringue/ice cream/fresh berries concoction. The desserts were just a tad underwhelming - perfectly alright, but they seemed a bit rushed together compared to the wonderful mains.

Good service, nice and bright lighting, clean premises.

“Excellent surprise!”
Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

We had a light dinner at the Dela. We took shared plates of seafood, scallops and cheese. The scallops were the most surprising dish: they were accompanied by black pudding, peas puree and a white wine sauce and it was truly delicious! wine was also quite good.
Service was Very friendly and efficient. A very good address!

“Scrumptious Sunday brunch”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Had initially intended to go to another restaurant, but when we got there, it was full.
As we came away, we spotted Dela which we never knew existed, so popped in for a look with no expectations. Good decision !
Have to say the brunch was excellent. My wife and i both cleaned our plates. Our kids who can be fussy at the best of times also thoroughly enjoyed it.
Turned out that the owner used to be a neighbor of mine, so delighted that she is making a success of it. Hoping she eventually knocks the gang next door of their Michelin star throne :-)

“great place for a bite to eat”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

I found that place some time ago but had no time to go there, so this weekend we decided to try it.We had brunch there and have to say everything from d staff to d food and atmosphere was lovely. The portions were huge, couldn't finish it.i had smoked salmon with poached egg, hollandaise sauce and potato cake and my boyfriend had frittata, both were lovely. The staff is really nice and I wish I had more money with me then to tip them better, but we will be back there for sure:) I loved they served milk for the tea:)
