“perfect pies”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

My husband and I visited Galway recently on a short break. What stood out for both of us was coming across the Pie Maker Restaurant. The Pies are made with spelt pastry and the fillings are to die for. The old world feeling and the quirky surroundings, along with the friendly chat put this on the map in our minds as a place to return when in town.

“Pie perfection”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

On a freezing cold late October afternoon we were greeted with a warm, friendly Irish welcome by the beautiful chef in this truly unique restaurant. Freshly handmade from scratch in the tiny kitchen, the choice of pies when they arrive with generous, traditional sides of mash, gravy and mushy peas are simply delicious. Desert was equally as tasty with the prices a pleasant surprise for such impeccable quality of food and a personal service. Stumbled upon this place purely by chance wandering around Galway as tourists and so glad we did. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place as a must visit if ever you are in the city.

“MMmmmm!!”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Not alot for a selection as we were there just before closing time. That's how it should be for things that are freshly made too...I don't want to eat something that's been on the shelf for a day or 2 or 3, etc. We had 2 different savory pies and they were awesome! Would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area. I don't remember the guys name that was working, but he was very friendly and chatted with us.
