“Customer Focus”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We arrived late for the 'Early Bird' menu and when I advised that there were 6 of us, we were welcomed in, sat down and given this menu - business focus responding to the customer. This was despite the restaurant being nearly full already. We had an excellent meal and the service was prompt and friendly. The 'early bird' menu here gives good choice and good value. The manager took an interest in us throughout the meal. We are happy to recommend it to one and all and have already done so to our friends and families. We will be back soon.

“Great little restaurant in Galway”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

This is a very safe restaurant in Galway for tourists. Food was very good and service was as friendly as its gets. This is not a fancy place and no dress code exists. It is filled with Irish locals and that is always a good sign when you are new to a city.

Galway is big city and filled with many non-Irish immigrants. It tended to be a little overwhelming with begging and other activity not common to Ireland. Beware of pick pocketers from non-Irish nationals.

“Great steak, stag friendly!”
Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

Myself and a load of my mates ate here recently on the first night of my stag in Galway. The staff were excellent and very accommodating to us. Food was tasty, we pretty much all had steak and everyone of us really enjoyed our meat.

Highly recommend this place for a stag as they have a bar area next door you can move into after eating your food and although we weren't too roudy we were left to ourselves which is all we wanted.

I would definitely return here again with my fiancée next time I'm in Galway for a quieter weekend as I enjoyed the food and atmosphere immensely.

“Expensive and average”
Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

First of all I am deeply suspicious of reviews where " average" is not a common event... Beware.

I have visited here twice. The service is excellent, the steaks are expensive and average. There is something missing and I don't know what it is. I should have a feeling of wow .. I don't. Kirwans Lane .. Nimos..O Gradys .. The G. That's the kind of place fir that special occasion ... But not here given the price I paid. Just average." Underwhelmed",

Dear Maritimo Foody,
Many thanks for your recent review. We always value a customer perspective. As with your review, we regard all trip advisor reviews to be open, honest and genuine. We have no reason to think otherwise.
We are passionate about our locally sourced Seafood and Steak produce and go well beyond the “average” lengths to ensure the farm to fork traceability and quality shine through. The preparation and care that goes into each and every cut is important to us. We source our meat from the steak experts Mcgeoghs in Oughterard. The produce is air dried and hung for 28 days, turned carefully every day to ensure it is tender and appetising retaining moisture and flavour in every slice. From here our experienced chefs set to work by cooking it to order with similar passion, care and dedication.
It is for this reason we are disappointed that you felt elements fell short of the mark for you and promise continued efforts and innovation in this regard. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
