Stayed here for 3 nights in July and really liked it. (Can't understand the negative comments ). We found the room very clean and comfortable. It was very hot and were so glad the room was air conditioned. Also liked having the choice of hard or soft pillows. The restaurant was pleasant and the food was tastyand good value. We ate here the 3 nights and there were special offers each night. Coleraine was a lovely place an worth a visit. Found Port Rush a bit of a disappointment but really liked Port Stuart. Enniskillen is also worth a visit, beautiful by the river. Hope to be able to visit this area again and will definitely stay here. Great value, comfy pleasant hotel. If people want 5 star then they can expect to pay a lot more. Hotel staff were lovely, very helpful and pleasant.

The Travelodge was ok, you pay for what you get, its basic but clean and fine otherwise. Good value for Galway. We weren't expecting anymore as it is a Travelodge. There are a few thing that need fixed and tidied up in the rooms and around the Travelodge, just a bit rough around the edges. The staff were great and very accommodating, they let us check in early which was great and they were very helpful.
The location of Travelodge is great, just a short walk into town so if you are in Galway for a night out it is a great spot to put your head down.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front are a bit noisy as facing a main road

Hotel needs an upgrade. I would compare this hotel to a hostel. It's not too pricey and will do the job for a short stay if you are not going to be in the hotel much. We just stayed there for one night and it was perfect for us, it served its purpose. However, we thought it would be closer to City center, not really walking distance.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your positive comments but I think to compare this hotel to a hostel is quite inaccurate. The photos on this page give a concise depiction of our room layout and I challenge you to find a hostel offering lodgings of a similar quality.
Thank you, however, for your feedback. All guest comments are taken incredibly seriously.

we stayed for a night on st patricks weekend as a group of girls (3 rooms) as we were all aupairs in ireland from all over the globe. the lodge was good as it was clean basic and safe enough, not to far walk from the city centre of galway. would stay here again

Room Tip: Book in as early as possible if you are heading to galway for an event weekend like st patricks weekend as accommodation books up super fast.

We stayed 1 night on 1st August as we were going to Ladies day at the Galway races. The hotel was full however they could not have been more accommodating in doing their best to check in all the guests before midday so that they could get ready for the races. The rooms were basic but comfortable and spacious. Our room was on the road side but we weren't disturbed by any noise from the road. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located within walking distance of the town centre. We would definitely stay here again.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you very much for your nice comments!
Race Week is one of, if not the, busiest occasion for us during the holiday season. We find ourselves working incredibly hard to meet its demands and were delighted with how smoothly 2013's iteration went. I am glad you found your stay as satisfactory as you did and I look forward to welcoming you back to Travelodge Galway!
