Had a fantastic weekend here with friends. Hotel was really buzzy and had a great lively feel.
The rooms were spacious, clean and beds comfortable. Loved the leisure centre, really relaxing and not too crowded.
Breakfast was mad with hundreds at it and my only criticism was it was slightly impersonal with the automatic juice machine, get your own tea and coffee and toast etc but it was reasonably tasty.
Dinner in the evening was delicious with the Tapas platter unbelievably tasty.
The staff were one of the best things about the Hotel especially the cocktail guy and Juri the waiter who couldn't have been nicer when serving us dinner.

Room Tip: There can be quite a bit of noise in the corridor with Kids so maybe ask if there are families with young children near you when you check in if you are a light sleeper.

We got an excellent price for a family room for four people in this hotel - even cheaper when we phoned up rather than using the website. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel pool area is great for kids. There is a separate baby pool. The main pool has a shallow area and then a deeper area divided with a rope. Great for children not quite able to swim without standing up. Kids had a great time in the pool. Separate lane swimming area for adults away form the kids end. Bar area was extremely busy in the evening so we sat in the foyer. Bit noisy during the night with people coming and going between rooms. several hen and stag parties staying. However, for families - a good deal. Good breakfast in the morning too.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from any stag/hen parties.

We went with a group of kids and the stay was superb, the rooms were nice, the food excellent, the bar always opened (it seemed) ;-) We had a great time, the staff were really friendly and patient with our bunch of 20 odd boys

We stayed here as part of a children's rugby tour. There were 50 of us. The team at The Connacht worked very hard to make our stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible. Nothing was too much trouble.
Our rooms were clean, comfortable and airy. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you could ever want. The bar food was freshly cooked, tasty, and well presented.
We were leaving late on a Sunday evening. We were allowed to keep our rooms until 16.00 and the Hotel laid on a hot meal for us at 17.00 before we got our coach back to the airport.
Our boys got full use of the pool and really enjoyed it. The bar was comfortable, reasonably priced and lively in the evenings, with live music.
This hotel is perfect for everyone. Business, families, couples, groups and teams are all catered for in a friendly and efficient manner.
I will definitely be back and recommending this hotel to my friends.

Stayed in the Connacht Hotel for St Patricks weekend, the price was very reasonable considering how busy it was. Located just on the outskirts of the city, it probably is a little far to walk in but a bus stop is practically outside and taxis will have in the city centre in 5 minutes. Arrived very early but they still had a room ready for me. the room itself was fine, clean and modern. the only gripe I had with it was I had to move beside lockers and lamps to use the ironing board, seemed very badly designed that way. the food was fine, nothing spectacular but I was only there for the carvery so the evening menu could be much better. certainly would be tempted to return if I was back in Galway.
