At no fault of the hotel our stay was marred by the guests who partied all night and into the morning. My friends and I enjoy a good time, but our neighbours did not respect their fellow guest. The hotel was comfortable, close to everything, but noisy.

Dear Julie A
Thank you for your review I was sorry to read that you had some noisy neighbours can I ask did you phone down to reception to let our night staff know.? We have staff on all night and if you had rang reception they would of being able to go to these guests and ask them to keep the noise down. It is true for you that some guest's just don't respect other guests and I think in some cases they just don't realize how much noise they are making. I was glad to read that you felt that the Imperial Hotel was comfortable and close to everything. We do have a great location right on Eyre Square.
Thank you again for your comments they will as always go up on our staff notice board.

The staff at this hotel is amazing!! The front desk man was friendly and helpful and stored our bags when needed. They supplied us with a charger and were just overall great people.

The restaurant that is attached is the greatest. One of the managers, whose name I did not get, was absolutely the nicest man! My sister and I requested to split an Irish stew (which turned out to be AMAZING) but he ended up just bringing us our own at no extra charge. This man also took his time to pull out a map and show us all the great pubs to go to and how to get there. The bar staff in the restaurant was friendly and nice. I loved, loved, loved this place.

Location is perfect. You walk out your door and can walk to all the bars and shops. They lock the place up at night so you feel safe and secure. It wasnt loud at all. It was by far my favorite place to stay in Ireland.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a Stag party. The hotel is a perfect location for walking around the city centre. The downside of this being in a great location is Parking, the hotel provides a subsidised rate for parking around the corner (5 minute walk). Perfect for trains as the train station is the other side of Eyre Square and a taxi rank just out the door. Could possibly be noisey at the weekends,, I was out on the town but the streets can be busy at night.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. The staff where very nice and we had a very speedy check-in, even for a number of us arriving for a stag party. Barstaff very friendly, provide polite conversation or leave you alone.

For breakfast we where offered a continental or a hot breakfast that would be served at the bar for an extra €5. We opted to just do with the continental which was nice and plentiful.

The room was spacious and clean.

All in all it was nice

Dear Sobri07

Thank you for your review about the Imperial Hotel, Galway City. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. There is a lot of work behind the scenes when a group are checking in together which we like to have done before the group arrive to make an easy and quick check in as possible for the group. Parking in Galway City like most Cities around Ireland can be an issue. All of the city Center Hotels use the Carpark you refer to with the reduced rate of €10 for 24 hours which is excellent value. You can also book your car-parking space on our site to get an even better rate.
Nice to read that our staff we kind and friendly as always i will be posting your review on our notice board.
Thanks again and hope to see you stay with us again.

The imperial hotel is right in the heart of Galway city where everything is happening! I was recently there, and wanted to stay somewhere that was near enough that I could drop my shopping bags back and reload, and somewhere that wouldn't be too far to walk to feel the bustling atmosphere and energy of Galway by night- this hotel was in the perfect location! At the top of shop street, just past brown thomas. The room was €149 for two persons for the night which was good, but I do think the imperial should put on a few more offers if you're reading this.
that cost also included a continental breakfast, but you could upgrade to an Irish breakfast fry up for €5 more.

Because the imperial is a nice hotel, in a fantastic location, I assume they are always fully booked, the weekend I wanted to go was fully booked and I emailed them in the hope there may be a cancellation, and they did respond with availability. So I would like to thank the imperial hotel for their outstanding communication!

We had a lovely stay at the imperial, the room was warm, the bed was comfortable, it was clean as well, very nice. But one downside is that we could hear our neighbours next door in the night, maybe it was just where our room was, you couldn't hear anything else, just the next door neighbours.

That being said, I would definately go to the imperial again! Lovely hotel, fantastic location, great communication from the staff, I am only sorry I didn't get time to sample your bar menu or breakfast, maybe another time!
