This was a great experience for my family. The staff were lovely people, it was very clean, with nice accommodations, a very good location, breakfast was great! Recommend it highly-a great value. (Caution: there is a House with the same name that our GPS directed us to before we found the right location!)

Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Located in a very quite and safe neigborhood, and yet not that far from downtown. Very good restaurant just walking distance from the lodge.

The room was lovely and big, up a couple of flights of stairs. It was clean and welcoming. The area was very quiet. I had to bring a child at the last minute and we were accommodated without any problem. We took the bus out and found it a little difficult to find but when we found the walk through it made life much easier getting to Salthill. Breakfast was fine.

Meet and greet was friendly and informative. Room was clean, tidy and well furnished. Breakfast was cooked to order and of a good standard. Ideally situated for travel in/out of Galway centre and surrounding areas. Parking readily available. Price was very good at a busy time in Galway. An enjoyable stay!

We love The Rise. Beautiful room, wonderful breakfast and VERY accommodating owners. They did our laundry for us, no charge! The only complaint I have is that our room was right next to the check-in desk and entrance, so things were noisy outside our room first thing in the morning.

Room Tip: Choose one that is NOT near the entrance!

We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Apologies about the noise - sometimes guests check out quite early and we do ask that noise is kept to a minimum late at night and early in the morning to respect the other guests. Your feedback is very valuable to us.

The first time I went there it was like- wow!
We paid not so much money for a bed and breakfast (with a group of 4 people) and the rooms are very nice and there are kind people.
It is very clean and nice and you feel like a princess :D
The breakfast is very good, you can eat as much as you want and its taste is very nice as well (the people are cooking for you an fresh Irish breakfast as well).
I would like to go there again if I go to Galway!

The room itself was clean, however the door to the balcony did not open all of the way due to the location of the bed. When I squeezed out to the balcony, the view was that of the neighbor's backyard and the balcony itself was covered with cigarette butts. I used a coffee cup to pick them all up on my section of the balcony and would imagine that they are still in the cup on the window sill today. Breakfast was mediocre and staff accommodating, but in no way friendly. The guesthouse is located in the middle of a housing development and appears to be part of a chain - not a true B&B as I was expecting.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms 3, 4, 5 on the 2nd floor as they are right next to the staircase and a wet bar...

We’re sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay, and we will certainly strive to improve what you have requested and take your comments on board. The cigarette butts are no longer there you'll be glad to know. We do have a designated smoking area at the front of the Guesthouse which we request that ALL guests use. Your feedback is very valuable to us.
We hope to see you again in the near future.

Kind regards,
