My friend and I stayed here a few weeks ago for 3 nights and were very happy with our decision. We did not rent a car so we were a little concerned that it would be difficult to get into the city center but there was no need to worry. There was a bus right outside the hotel that came every 15 minutes and was extremely easy to navigate. The rooms themselves are small but had everything we needed including free wifi and a tv. We also booked 2 day trips (Connemara and Cliffs of Moher) through the hotel with the bus company, Galway Tour Company, and they were fantastic. They picked us up both mornings from the hotel and dropped us off in Galway at the end which worked out perfectly. We paid $60 a night which did not include the breakfast but we paid for it a few times and it was decent by European standards although nothing to write home about. Overall this hotel was a great deal!
