Myself and my family (wife & daughters aged 4 & 6) stopped by for lunch last Saturday afternoon and were hugely impressed. Delicious fish and chips and very reasonable prices make this an essential stop for a hungry family in Galway. €27.00 for four sizeable meals and kids drinks (the adults are encouraged to bring a drink from the pub next door) was terrific value and the battered hake I had was fantastic. The owner too was very helpful and super friendly - highly recommended!!!

We were very happy to find this small place tucked away in Cross St, Galway. It has a sleek modern interior, a great menu (not just fish), and low prices. You can bring in your own wine or beer, too.I had grilled salmon, excellent! My husband had a seafood platter that he enjoyed. If we had another night in Galway we would have returned to this place.

We had the in-season monkfish both grilled and batter-fried. Both were delicious. Substituted mushy peas for one order of chips. Encouraged to bring a drink from the next-door pub.

They don't just offer the standard burger, fish or chips, there's also sit-down food if you manage to get a table early on, calamari and other alternatives to the typical post-bar/drinks snacking.
The chips are really tasty, home-made and fried to perfection with tasty oils. I love the crispy ones at the bottom of the bag.

Really good fish and chips, the batter is very crispy and light, not at all stodgy, and the taste of the fish really comes through. The fish is very good quality, obviously fresh, and a nice selection to choose from. we sat inside at the window counter or you can take away. Would definitely recommend it for fish and chips and will go again next time i'm in Gort.
