“Not only for Squares!”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

Eyre Square is at the heart of Galway City and has been refurbished in the current decade to a very high standard and quality. You may stroll around or criss cross as you wish. Whilst not necessarily a "quiet retreat" it suggest activity, exuberence and a degree of culture which reflects to cosmopolitan nature of Irelands largest Western City, The City of the Tribes!

“Very nice neighborhood”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Very touristic, but nice architecture with cobbled stone streets. Worth a visit. Nice restaurants and bars with live music to choose from.

“Great Park”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

In centre of town, very well maintained, bust of JFK as the park was named after him when he visited in 1963 just before he was assasinated. It is close to the street mid way in park.Felt safe walking around the square at night and good shortcust from Park House Hotel to shopping/nightlife.

“Great Place For People Watching”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

If you enjoy people watching, Eyre Square is the place for you. Located just off the main shopping area, it's a nice respite from the stores and shops. The Tourist Information Office is only a block or two away, so you can get a bunch of information from them, and bring it back to Eyre Square to read. Get some cheese and bread from Sheridans Cheesemongers and have a picnic in Eyre Square. It's a great way to get to know the people of Galway.
