“People passing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

It's a nice square but mostly used by people passing by. Don't see to many people actually sitting down even though there's lot's of places to do so.
At Christmas it's different. The square turns into a wonderful Christmas market with beautiful decorations.

“Close to Pubs”

Like Grafton--some shopping though more relaxed--younger "air" means more trad, means better for your tourist 1st time experience. Has = Grafton but not snooty :-)

“Cool spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This was a stop on our Galway walking tour. Some neat history with connections to the US. Great park in the middle of the city - easy to access other parts of town from here. We stayed right near by - recommend visiting.

“Christmas visit to Eyre Square”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Went to visit Galway in Christmas. Galway is amazing, love it. But this Eyre Square really didn't live up to expectations, especially the Christmas Market. We were in Galway for 3 days (weekend) 2 weekends before Christmas and there wasn't much happening at hte Square. But, the street entertainment elsewhere throughout Galway was fantastic, so Galway still worth a visit!
