We stayed here recently as we were attending a wedding at the Westwood House Hotel which is only a 5 min walk away and it was a cheaper option. ie. 90euro for 2 per night as oppose to 209 euro per room per night. That was a big saving. The other good point I liked was that you could make your own tea and coffee 24 hours in a little reception room.

The rooms are very very small and seriously 80s decoration with the wall coloured in teracotta and also the ceiling. Curtains and duvet covers were also banana coloured. Getting dressed was irritating as you couldnt even see yourself in a mirror as the room was very dark. Smallest bathroom in the world with the timed light going off in the middle of showering.

Overall, I dont think it was value for money particularly in a recession where you will find hotels doing cheaper deals if you're willing to take a taxi. If you literally only want to get your head down then it will suffice. It was definately handy for accessing the nearby hotel.

Just back from an overnight stay at Corrib Haven as part of a business trip. Excellent welcome and lovely garden where we relaxed when we arrived and then sat out until midnight on a warm balmy evening. Facilities were very good and owner friendly. Breakfast was excellent - and service very good. Will stay again.

On our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly welcoming owners Angela & Tom. They provided us with lots of information about where to eat, how to get in to town etc. City centre very near, took 15 mins walk. The guesthouse has a sitting room that was open all night for us to make tea after our long day which was superb. Lovely new ensuite in bedroom. Breakfast was great with lots of choice.

found information about this guest house on the internet and gave it a try on our fist visit to Galway. Its good value for money and eventhough is off the beaten track its a good place to stay and easy bus access into the city. Breakfast was good lots to choose from and the people who run it are very good at what they do. Rooms kinda small but sufficient.

The Corrib haven is a clean guest house with basic facilities. The decor is late 80's early 90's. Thankfully myself and my partner only used the Corrib haven to sleep. The main woman fonting the operation in terms of serving food and cleaning rooms was extremely stressed and jumpy. She made us feel quite tense rather than put us at our ease and engender a relaxing atmosphere. Every question and request was a nerve filled ordeal. The woman was so jittery that it radiated to myself and my partner. The icing on the cake was when she asked us to pay our excess in cash as she apparenty didn't know how to work the credit card machine! She eventually had to summon one of the children of the house to operate it for her.

The bell for service was out of order, with no alternative means of contacting the locked away proprietors. The breakfast included orange juice in a tumbler slightly bigger than a shot glass. Very small servings also.

Location not close to any shops, pubs restaurants.

Would only advise people to stay here in the absence of any other options.
