Traveled to Galway for the Xmas Markets last weekend and decided last minute we would stay down here, booked into the hotel that evening and it was lovely! The location of the hotel itself is brilliant! We were right beside the markets and could walk around and have a drink or two and know that we didn't have to worry about travelling arrangements etc. The hotel is cosy and quaint when you arrive. The receptionist that helped us, didn't catch her name (red hair & glasses) was extremely pleasant and helpful to us. She even took into consideration that we weren't going to be going out clubbing that night and placed us in a room the far side of the hotel that wasn't near the club next door or busy streets. This was brilliant! The hotel room was a bit dated but it was nice and relaxing. The only thing I could fault it on was that we didn't have a flatscreen tv in our room, we had a tiny little box tv that actually only had 3 channels, couple of them were tuned in twice, and on check out the next day we could see that most rooms had a flatscreen in their rooms when they were being cleaned. We ended up having to place the tv on a night stand closer to the bed, because it was so far away, so that we could watch it and we tried to tune in some channels ourselves. All in all it is a fab hotel and I would most definitely stay here again in the future, just a couple of dated features to upgrade

As the title suggestes, this hotel ticks all the boxes if your looking for a city centre location, close to everything. From arrival to departure - all the staff were very helpful - esp Daniel and Lorraine. Will definately be back!! Thanks again.

The best thing about this hotel is its central location - literally a stones throw from Eyre Square in the centre of Galway. The staff are friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast is cooked to order and there are plenty of cereals, fruit and juice at the cold buffet. There is a night club in the hotel so if you are a light sleeper bring the ear plugs - i sleep like a log so no problem for me

Room Tip: Don't sleep at the front if you are a light sleeper it is on a busy road

We stayed for 2 nights,( not our choice in booking i'd like to add).
The lift didnt work for the whole time we were there, and they only put a sign up on the last day, despite us telling them that it wasnt working.
Rooms are basic, the telephone and television both didnt work, and we were given hand towels for the bathroom.
Our room was overlooking the street and we were right above the main door, and our window didnt close properly, so we heard everything going on outside, I wouldnt expect a super quiet room from a city hotel but that was taking the mick a bit! Oh and you could also hear all the train announcements from about 6am onwards.
I can appreciate that this hotel is aimed at Stag & Hen parties, but for the money it charges you would at least think they could fix things up.
There was a fight on one of the floors on the first night and on the second night the security guard on the door wasnt letting us in, because there was only 1 name on the list depsite the room being a double and the night porter explaining that there were 2 staying in the room. He was very rude, i'm sure he has to put up with a lot but not everyone are drunken messes at the end of the night.
There's no parking, you have to park in the carpark around the corner and then pay €10 a day.
Its located in a good spot but you can get a nicer hotel for the same price in roughly the same location, which is what we will be doing if we go back to Galway, cos I'm certainly not staying in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Pick another hotel!
