I stayed here with 7 other friends for two nights. We were in an 8 bed dorm. The dorm itself was big, and very clean. The beds were nice and very comfortable. The communal toilets and showers were always clean, and the showers were really good.
The communal area in the hostel has really big comfy couches and chairs and there are many games and books. There is also a couple of guitars, a piano and a bodhrán for guests to use. Guests could use the common room area and drink there until 4am, which is great. There are 3 really good Mac computers with fast internet for the guests to use. There was also free wifi available.
The kitchen was well stocked and there was many fridges to store food. These facilities were all very clean too.
The free breakfast which is included was great. There was hot scones, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereals, juice, tea/coffee. It was much better than the usual 'free' breakfast that many hostels offer.
The hostel staff were all very nice and helpful. They can organise very good value trips to nearby attractions such as the Burren, or the Aran Islands.
There is a big fridge in the reception with bottles of water for only 50c!
The location is also very good, it's only a two minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Shop Street and it's only a minutes walk from a supermarket and an off licence.
If you're going to stay in Galway, I cannot recommend this hostel highly enough. It is definitely the best hostel I have stayed at in Ireland.
