“Great Hostel :)))”
Reviewed August 9, 2012 via mobile

I would say that this hostel is the best hostel on all of my trip through Ireland. The staff are super friendly especially Frank. The hostel has free wifi. The beds are comfortable. Most importantly the atmosphere is awesome. I made so many friends in this hostel. If you are a solo traveler you won't be lonely staying here. The location is awesome in the middle of all the action.

This place is great for many reasons, the main one is that it is a hostel with very low fares and yet they have the cleanest place, staff helping in washing dishes, and every facility you need: WI-FI (free, as the access to THEIR computer, which is always charged in the other hostels), instruments you can play, tv room etc... seems more like a hotel where you are being spoiled by the delightful staff :)
The only suggestion I dare to make - it's a silly one, but I think you can appreciate - is to get a piano tuner to get the piano fixed... it's quite flat!

Comodo, sala comune carinissima con tanto di strumenti e giochi da tavolo, colazione self service ma con lo staff che lava i piatti, stanze pulite e persone davvero interessanti che bazzicano per i corridoi... Ottimo!

I found a 10 bed dorm for 12 euros and found it to be pretty good value. Beds were super comfy and nice duvet covers and sheets included in the price. With a free breakfast and free wifi included it felt really great value for such a central location. It was also nice and quiet at the end of the corridor. Staff were nice and helpful and good hangout space available too.

After 5 days of hostel travel with 35 students, we were all so pleased with the communications to make arrangements, our arrival and the million questions and needs our students had, and the accommodations themselves - clean and nice; lots of space and free WiFi! Location was perfect. We stayed 2 days and could have stayed longer. Frank is the best! University of Dayton Study Abroad Students will be back!!!

Kinlay House is very central for Galway's nightlife. My friend and I shared a private twin room, which was incredibly good value. The staff are very friendly too.

I stayed here with a Shamrocker tour, and had a private room. It was a nice, comfortable hostel in a great location, but the only hostel on our trip where we didn't have a private bathroom - the bathroom was quite dirty, e.g. cotton buds, tissues makeup etc on the sink area and benches, which was frustrating. It needs to be cleaned more regularly. The showers were annoying, in that you push the button in, get 1 minutes worth of hot water, then have to push it in again over and over when washing your hair.

The breakfast was very good though, with staff to wash our dishes for us. We had cereals, juices, scones, toast and coffee - not too shabby. The reception staff were very friendly and gave us all bottles of water when we arrived.

Overall it was nice, but the bathroom needs to be modernised, cleaned regularly and the tap situation fixed.
