I had really high hopes based on reading the reviews here at Tripadvisor. The staff was very friendly, and the bar staff was great. We ate in the bar two nights in a row due to getting in late, and not realizing how close we were to town and other restaurants. The waitstaff was prompt and the food just fine. The negative aspects were that the elevator was broken, and we had a room close to the stairwell. Slam, slam, giggle, chatter all night long. The bathroom was actually the best of any that we stayed in our whole trip to Ireland, so kudo's there. I would give the bathroom 5 stars. It looked freshly renovated and was sparkling clean. However, the carpet was stained, the furniture chipped and worn, and the bed was hard as a rock (even by european standards). I ended up having to sleep on top of the comforter so that my hip didn't hurt. It actually felt like you were sleeping on the box spring. So a real mixed bag. Good location - easy to find with plenty of parking. Good food, great bathroom, but tired room and a very hard bed.
