“Nice hotel in a great location”
Reviewed June 4, 2010

My partner and i were in Galway for a wedding and booked into the Harbour Hotel 2 nights and weren't disappointed with the experience.
Its a lovely hotel. The reception and lobby areas are modern and welcoming. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional which added to the good experience we had in the hotel.
Our room was clean and comfortable. It was very spacious which makes a change from a lot of the modern day hotels in Ireland with their showbox sized rooms.
Breakfast was included in our rate and the breakfast buffet was great. We had plenty to choose from both hot and cold. The dining room is bright and airy.
Perhaps the best thing about the harbour hotel is its location. It is pretty much in the heart of Galway City. Its a 5 minute walk at most to shop street which is the heart of Galway.

Overall, we had a great experience in the Harbour Hotel and we would like to thank all the staff who made our staff such a good experience.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and found all the staff to be very friendly especially the girls at front desk who were very pleasant in dealing with our queries.
We ate in the the restaurant on the first night and the food was delicious.
Location was within easy walking distance of Eyre Square and Quay Street - less than 5 minutes walk.
Would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I are in our early 30's and are based in London, we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in May. We were really surprised with the excellent service and quality of the rooms for the price which we paid. On the second night, there was a slight disturbance in the room next to us so we enquired if we may move rooms and we were immediately moved to a similiar room which was in a more secluded side of the hotel. We found the the service in the whole hotel to be exceptional and the hotel restaurant would certainly have no issues as standalone restaurant in any city that we have travelled too, such was the taste and variety of their menu.

The real surprise for us was the ease of access to the vibrancy of galway city and no need for a taxi which is a necessity for our base in London.

All in all, a great trip and the weather was super also............... can't wait to come back again next year
