This hotel is in a very noisy location and I had booked a upgraded room. The room was tiny, hot and noisy. Not nice at all.we complained and got moved. Although the new room was a little nicer and a bit bigger was still very average. The food at the hotel was ok, staff not too bad.it was on,y a five minute walk to Galway central so that was a plus. Not overly impressed for what I paid.

My husband and I recently spent one night at the Harbor Hotel in Galway. After arriving on a transatlantic flight at 5:30 a.m. (local time) we embarked on the three hour drive to Galway. By the time we arrived in Galway we were so tired, we could almost fall asleep standing. My husband explained our predicament to the friendly and helpful receptionist who said that he would do everything within his power to get us into a room as soon as possible. Bear in mind that by this time it was probably a little after 10:00 a.m. and official check in didn't begin until later in the day. By 11:00 a.m. we were gratefully sleeping in a very clean and comfortable room. After a couple of hours recharge we were able to shower change and explore the city of Galway. The hotel is extremely well positioned for downtown pubs, restaurants and attractions. A five minute stroll found ourselves right in the heart of downtown Galway with it's eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and street entertainment. The included breakfast at the Harbor Hotel was wonderful. It was buffet style but extremely fresh. You could fill up here and easily not feel hungry again until dinner time. The rate we received at this hotel was by far the lowest of any of the hotels we stayed at during our stay and represented fantastic value for money. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again on future trips to Galway. Our special thanks to the receptionist and staff who made what could have been a "wasted" first day because of exhaustion a very pleasurable and full one.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Harbour. I stayed there recently and could not fault one thing. The staff are warm and welcoming and will do all they can to make a trip in this beautiful city a good one!
It's reassuring to see this high standard of hospitality being displayed in the service industry!

nice. large room/bathroom. breakfast was very salty- not very good- probably was our least favorite of our 2 week stay in Ireland. The hotel definitely could use some remodeling. Good location. Enjoyed that we could leave the car in the parking lot once we checked out of the hotel.

Stayed at the Harbour Hotel for 4 nights in September, a triple room for B&B. Location was excellent we were able to walk into Galway day and night time. Food was lovely can definitely reccommend the afternoon tea! Galway night life is excellent but avoid the first week of college starting, we seen some sights on a Monday night! Breakfast was excellent plenty to choose from but be prepared to wait for a table towards the end of breakfast time as the restaurant is a little small. Would definitely return to the Harbour Hotel and can reccommend it for a great stay.
