We got a double room for €65 including breakfast for the Friday night of St. Patrick's weekend. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, in a very central location with good parking facilities. I was expecting very basic standard for the price, but I have honestly paid more than double for hotels in Ireland that were of the same standard, if not lower. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect - decent size, clean etc.

The bar food was good and reasonably priced. I have to say the highlight was the variety of food for breakfast. As a vegetarian I wasn't expecting much choice but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of healthy options available. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book here for all future trips to Galway. Got more than my money's worth.

Nice hotel, great location. Easy to find if your not familiar with the city and just few minutes walk from Shop street. Good food , excellent engaged staff.
We visited the Harbour hotel for a hen party. The initial support from the hotel staff in organising the group stay was very impressive. My whole group was very impressed by the hotel rooms, service and food. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel in the future. Our waiting staff at breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and at our meal on Saturday were particularly friendly and efficient.
It was a pleaseure to work with the staff in orgainisin the trip to the hotel and it was a pleasure to eat and stay at this hotel.

Only stayed one night while on business. Very tired so ate in the hotel restaurant. Found that on an evening the restaurant has ambience & the food was very good. The staff were very friendly and the rooms modern, clean with little extras like slippers, generous suppies of tea & coffee etc. Only 5 minutes walk into town but nice not to be in the heart of town.

We stayed 1 night, was nice to find a basket of fruit fruits in the bedroom. Nothing special about the bedroom itself. Central location, staff nice but we were not lucky as heating was not working properly. We can't have shower in the evening. Issue was fixed in few hours and we were provides a electrical heating as it was very very cold that night.

We had dinner in the restaurant, fish and chips and dessert were amazing. I had the best pavlova ever. Car park was 5 euros and considering the price of the bedroom I would have expected to be free.
The hotel has nothing special but restaurant is worth it.

This is a nice, modern hotel only 5 mins walk from Eyre Square and about the same walking distance to Spanish Arch and Shop Street. If you want to be close to all these locations but don't want to stay in the middle of them, this hotel is perfect. There was everyone from groups, couples and families staying here. There are car parking facilities (€5 a night) right beside the hotel or the train/bus station is only a few mins walk.

The two girls on reception St. Patricks weekend were really friendly and helpful, as were most of the staff in the hotel. The rooms had all the usual mod-cons, flat screen tv, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press etc, and beds were super comfortable .

Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of everything including hot breakfast, breads, pastries, cheese, fresh fruit and juices. We didn't eat there in the evening but the food menu looked good.

If like me you have stayed in most of the hotels around Eyre Square over the years, you'll be very pleased with this as one of the newer, modern hotels with good service, good food and most of all good location.

We (2 couples) had a fantastic stay in the Harbour Hotel over St. Patrick's weekend. We visit Galway often, and like to try a different hotel each time - I think we have stayed in most now! But we will definitely stay in the Harbour Hotel again. Everything was excellent - the room was spacious and spotless, the breakfast was great in both quality and choice, and all the staff we encountered were polite and helpful. And all of this during such a busy weekend. Secure car-park at the back at the hotel as well, which is so convenient and also very reasonable - only €5 per 24hr period - which is probably the cheapest I've ever paid during stays in Galway hotels. Only a few minutes walk and you're right in the middle of all the main streets, shops etc.

The harbour hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Galway. The room was very tidy and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. I can't think of any negatives, if you're looking for a place to stay that is fairly central and reasonably priced I would recommend it.
