“Lovely quality food. Friendly satff.”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We ate here last week using vouchers. Although the voucher stated it was valid from 5.00 p.m. we were allowed to use the voucher for lunch as we were travelling home before 5.00.
On Sunday I had gorgeous roast lamb on a bed of stuffing, with lovely fresh veg.& creamy mash. My husband had the roast beef which he said was excellent.
On monday we both had the cod in beer batter with chips & mash. This was also lovely & fresh.
The desserts were very nice too.
The restaurant was very busy on both days, which is always a good sign.
I would definitely recomment this restaurant.
It's in a nice location. We had a nice walk along the prom before lunch.

“Superb in Salt Hill,”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

The Galleon hits all of the marks. We were seated promptly. We were greeted immediately by our server and we were waited on like we were the only couple in the busy restaurant. That is service that is second to none! The food arrive soon and was delicious. We were so impressed that we had dinner there on our second night in Galway, as we did not feel the need to go anywhere else.
You can't go wrong eating at the Galleon.

“Did not live up to other reviews”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Three of us ate at The Galleon, expecting great food and service. The service was ok, but not the food. The loaded potato skins were dried out and cold. The rare steak was medium, rather than rare, and was very poorly presented. Most of the salad greens had brown ends. The salmon was dry and overlooked, and the sauce congealed. The apple pie seemed store-bought and the accompanying custard did not taste home made. Only the burger made the grade.
Either this restaurant is over rated, or we struck it on a bad night. Would never return or recommend.
