I had heard the Gourmet Tart food was "out of this world" and "the "best in Galway" so a group of us visited and whilst the food is undoubtedly good and service was fine there was nothing exceptional about the visit. A good restaurant, good food but nothing special.

If you're looking for a safe option, reliable, something to hit expectations head-on this is the place to visit.

Go here regularly and the food is very good. One or two of the waitresses are extremely rude and do their best to ignore you, even if you're a regular. Then there's a really nice guy waiter and a lovely Irish waitress. The menu needs to be updated, it gets tiresome with the same lunch and breakfast menu all the time in addition to the same take out desserts. But overall a great place to eat if they could kick some of the waitresses attitudes into shape. The noise levels are quite high. Putting something on the walls might kill the echo of noise as hard to have a conversation here.

Beautiful fresh food. Everything was lovely, scones, Irish breakfast... There are so many disappointing places out there, this is not one.

So we were given a voucher as a gift for here so decided to use it with little expectation. Well OMG we hardly spoke during the meal we were so busy savouring every bite!! Im normally a fairly fussy eater. A fresh tasty menu that we couldnt fault. Our only problem was trying to choose what to have. There was a great selection. My starter was amazing it was deep fried.risotto balls. My other half has an amazing minestrone soup. For mains I had the cajun chicken burger while he had the steak. Desserts were amazing we both had a forest fruit thing.....cant remember the name of it.All I know is it was delish. Cant reccommend this place enough. And to top it off total value for money. Will DEF be back!! Thanks guys for the great service. Even on such a busy night the table service didnt suffer, its great to see staff who actually want to be at work and enjoy it.
