We were visiting Galway late in the season, and Shane's normally scheduled walking tours were over. But he rearranged his schedule a bit, and offered us a private all day tour. We had two separate hikes of about 2-2.5 hours each in the Connemara area. Shane is a great guide, and provided us with loads of info about the geology, flora and fauna, and local history and customs.

I really enjoyed this great day out with Shane. He was very friendly and made sure that
everybody felt welcome. During the day he talked to everyone. In the morning we did a
great hike at the Pass of Birds and Shane explained all the geological, botanical and
historical details. Later we couldn't climb Diamond Hill because it rained heavily but Shane came up with a good alternative, a lovely walk along a loch. A highly recommended tour, certainly
one of the best day tours in Ireland. Thank you for this great experience!

Shane was very helpful and friendly.. My brother and I had a great time.. Will definitely recommend this tour to our friends.. I personally prefer this kind of small tour compare to the other big tours I have been to.. Shane allowed us to take our own time and pace although we were a bit falling behind the schedule..

BIG THUMBS UP =)

We had an amazing day hiking with Shane - he took care of every hiker and went out of his way to connect and care for us. He's informative and a "gentle soul"! The hikes are vigorous and worth every step. If you're "moderately" fit, do this!

Our guide Shane told us a lot of interesting things about the area, history and plants. He was interested in every person on the trip and talking to everybody on the walks. The view on Diamond Hill was amazing!
We had a great time because Shane was helpful and mindful of ever single one of us. Thanks!
