Granted, we were lucky enough to be visiting the Galway area during the recent unexpectedly warm and sunny weather, so it helped that we got to experience Da Roberta's food while sitting at a nice table outside. The first hint that we got that it was going to be a great experience came from a young guy from Brazil who was just leaving; he was very enthusiastic about his experience. We ordered a simple pizza (Luisa) and salad, plus a beer and some wine. What a terrific meal we enjoyed! Truly, the pizza reminded us both of a delicious one we'd savored in Trastavere, Rome -- relatively thin but chewy crust, just enough sauce and cheese, plus lovely sun-dried tomatoes. The salad was simple, rocket with cherry tomatoes and fresh shaved parmesan and a nice, not too heavy, dressing -- delectable. We were charmed by Alessandro "Alex," our waiter, who's truly Italian and a real pro. We met the new owner, who'd just taken possession four days earlier, and wished him well. Despite being in a tourist area, the price was very fair. I imagine that the locals must love this place.

We have often walked past this restaurant and thought it looked nice, and always seemed busy. We decided to try it on a Saturday night, we booked for 8pm.The food and service was good especially the Italian waiter that shouting in the middle of the restaurant makes you feel in Italy - I had a pasta dish and my husband had lasagne - both tasty enough. The food prices are also reasonable. We had a nice meal and would go again - if you are thinking of trying this place then I don't think you will be disappointed.

My husband and I had 2 beautiful pasta dishes, lobster & crab ravioli also the porchini mushroom dish both fabulous!calamari and fishcakes to start delicious fabulous red wine , staff were excellent and very friendly.. Only thing would have loved some bread to the table while we waited for food to use the oil and balsamic provided on table and some music in the background would have added to the atmosphere.. Would go back for sure, want to try the pizza side of it too!

Got a pizza there recently, nothing fancy just a basic pizza straight from the menu and when I got it I was so disappointed. The toppings were sparse, there was very little tomato sauce and whatever sauce there was it was dried in and didn't taste nice. The dough itself was dry and although I like a think base this was like chewing a piece of cardboard. Extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Have eaten in here on a number of times and have found the food to be pretty good. Have only ever ordered a pizza though. On the last 2 visits here once part of our order did not arrive until we had to ask for it again and on our last visit they complelty forgot to bring the drinks we ordered. On both occasions the items were on our bill. So while the food is nice, there are other Italian restaurants that are just as good on the pizza front.
