I was travelling on my own so the Eyre Square Townhouse's budget and location suited me perfectly. My room was a double ensuite room and whilst small, was not the smallest I have ever come across in Europe. Ireland is an expensive country so the price I paid for 2 nights was still relatively good value. Decor is clean and comfortable for a couple of nights but a bit sterile (will take sterile over uncleanliness any day though).
Some points to note though, whilst the location is good it isn't in the dead centre of town - it was a couple of streets away from Eyre Square and Shop Street. Also I had a couple of problems with my wifi - I had to insist that the wifi wasn't working a few times before they fixed it. Also when I went to check out the reception desk wasn't manned so actually had to call them in order to check out and pay!
Also note there are no lifts and the top floor rooms can only be accessed via narrow stairs. The room I stayed in was street facing and there were loud revellers/hooligans outside making a racket until at least 2am each night - strange as these were weeknights.More
