Myself and three friends stayed for three nights and adored our room. It was the perfect size for the four of us and had a very cozy feel. We also loved Liam and all of his help was much appreciated! The location was perfect and we could walk to shops, cafes, and pubs without any difficulty.

We were directed to stay here for a wedding. It is located just behind the main town square and therefore easily accessible for the centre of the city.

This "townhouse" is located above a row of shops on a side street. The steps up to the entrance are narrow and steep. The reservation process was haphazard and led to much distress for the groom, who submitted a formal complaint. We persevered as our room was confirmed. All our friends gave up and booked elsewhere - apart from one who turned up in the evening and was advised by the receptionist to try somwewhere else, as it was likely to be noisy.

The rooms are modernly constructed with thin and poorly sound proofed walls. The wifi was patchy and television was small. The bed was comfortable.

Actually, it was noisy when we returned in the evening as some guests and taken their party to their room.

Breakfast was not included. There are a number of cafes nearby.

I stayed at the Eyre Square Townhouse with family, renting a quad room. The price was great, but word to the wise, having 4 people in that room was quite cramped. There were two double beds, a desk, and two nightstands. Once you added in four people and their luggage, it was very tight. I think it would be perfect size for 2-3 people, but for the price, I can’t complain. The bathroom and room were functional and clean. The staff that we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. The lounge area has some seating, visitor information, and a computer with free internet. Galway is a great place if you are looking for a smaller city, but still want to do sightseeing because it is a great home base for side trips (Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Connemara). I would stay here again!

Room Tip: There is not a lift and all rooms are up at least one flight of stairs.

I was a little concerned after reading a couple of reviews, but after my weekend stay there, I see why some tripadvisor reviews have to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially the one by Giilfok.
We arrived saturday afternoon and greeted warmly. We were given the choice of 2 rooms and told that at times there could be street noise from the room at the front. (expected from city centre accomodation in a lively city like Galway).
Excellent room, very clean, good size for the location and very very comfortable beds.

Townhouse does not offer breakfast, but there is a great coffee shop on ground floor andoth 5 metres away and dozens a short walk away.

At night, the door is locked, but the key code is PRINTED on a label on the inside of your key card (it would be difficult to smudge on even the worst on nights) and this is clearly pointed out to you when you arrive.

Overall a perefct little overnight stay, very welcoming and also a very pleasant checkout and we'll be staying here again.

Room Tip: room 1 & room 3 are excellent

I booked a single room her as I was only staying one night and wanted to be in the city centre.
Upon arrival, I was greeted at reception in a friendly manner, I paid for the room and was directed to my room.
The room, although small, was perfectly suitable for my needs and spotlessly clean.
The room had the usual tea/coffee facilities, t.v, shower in the en suite and space for hanging clothes.
This hotel does not serve breakfast, or any meals; however, there is a lovely cafe next door and plenty of restaurants to have a meal nearby.
I would recommend this hotel if you were staying for one or two nights and happy to eat out.

PROS: 1. well furnished room albeit extremely compact and comfortable bed. 2. excellent location although front facing room is noisy. 3. free wifi. CONS: 1. bathroom wasn't dirty but there was mold and mildew in shower and on walls and toilet rim was really dirty. The tray in bathroom wasn't wiped clean. The tray for the tea cups was dirty as well as the tea cups. 2. steep stairs for my elderly mother. 3. Her toilet was leaking. 4. street parking not free after 8:30am.
The burger box in reception and McDonald's bag in the hallway and lack of receptionist, not to mention the really dirty underside of toiletseat in reception bathroom made it feel like a hostal although priced like a hotel.

I was very disappointed after reviewing the web reviews with my girlfriend and I who stayed the weekend of Aug 6th here. The room was a bare minimum, there was no extra toilet paper (asked twice for it upon request), nor a hair dryer, wine glasses or wine opener. As a place in the city centre, it was really unbelieveable to not have basic ammenities like this that you'd expect for such a price and rating. Furthermore, there was no staff available on Sunday morning and despite confirming twice that check out was 12 noon, we had the cleaning staff pounding on our door at 11:30 AM insisting we must leave. Computer in the lobby barely worked at all, at least 10 years old and no investment has been made in the BASICS which was my funadmental issue with this place. Overall, I would never book here again nor would I agree with the majority of the review ratings.
