This is a great place to stay when in Galway! It's reasonably easy to find and is on the right side of the city from a traffic point of view (coming from the east). It's a 15 minute walk or so into Eyre sq. The room was gorgeous, really big and spotless! The shower was fab, one of those waterfall style ones! The breakfast each morning was cracking! Poached eggs on baby potatoes and black pudding (yum!!) and a lovely bowl of fresh fruit and yogurt! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all my friends and family!

Just back from a weekend in Galway and stayed in The Hunstman Inn. Good price at €90 per night for the room. Gorgeous big and comfortable room, including large bathroom and other little room with telly in it. Lovely easy going staff and a gorgeous laid back (and served until 11:30am) breakfast both mornings, which filled us for the day ! Nice 10 min walk to city so cheap by taxi or if you need air / exercise ! Would recommend and would stay again...thank you.

I work a number of days a week in Galway and have been utilising The Huntsman as my home from home. This boutique hotel is an experience the team are exceptionally friendly. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. The food in the hotel is exceptional and well presented. Indeed the Seafood Chowder is a meal itself and highly recommended.
Well worth a stay when in Galway.

Dined here twice over the summer and hope it won't be long before I can go again. The food was excellent, service with a smile from very pleasant and attentive staff. Loved the fish cakes, and my partner really enjoyed the fish in beer batter, very light crisp batter. Plenty of choice to suit all tastes, I was there with my family for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was very busy but didn't feel it as it is spacious and service was prompt. Lots of parking. Close to city centre.

Went here for lunch recently. The place is very slick and stylish and yet comfortable and inviting. It was really busy with a good mix of clientelle from tourists to office staff to families. The food was very well presented and delish. Service was efficient but could have been a little friendlier. Very polished operation .

We stayed one night at the Huntsman Inn. The room was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner did not disappoint and the breakfast was big, varied, plentiful and one of the best I have had in a hotel.
The hotel and bar are very clean and inviting. A pleasant 10 min walk to Galway city center. The Huntsman Inn was a real find.
Stay, you wont regret it

Really enjoyed my stay here. the place was buzzing, I heard a saying that goes something like this " if you can train the irish staff to be the best in their chosen career & then let them be their own personality your on to a winner." Well whoever is running the huntsman is working from this type of ethos as the staff though rushed of their feet were totally on the ball. We ate there on both nights of our stay & I must say seafood curry & organic salmon were fab. Great location (a 10 min walk from Eyre Square) ample free parking. My quibble (small) was that our room was fantastic, spotless but noise from traffic made for some difficulty sleeping (this is also due to the fact that I am unused to traffic noise). really enjoyed my stay here & did so as a result of reviews from Tripadvisor.
