We stayed here in June for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Bridie is a wonderful host, breakfast was delicious and she gave us good advice on things to do. Our room had a fair size and the B&B is on a quiet road and within walking distance to the centre of Galway and the Salthill-Promenade. There is a supermarket very close by and parking is also available.

My fiancée and I recently took a 2 week trip to Europe, and this was our favorite place for accommodation. Bridie and George were fabulous hosts- they made a wonderful breakfast each morning and helped us decide what sights to visit. The room was clean and quiet, and the house was just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Galway. From the bus station it's about a 15 minute walk or a short cab ride. I would highly recommend this B & B!

We arrived on Monday 3rd December. Bridie, was ever so helpful telling us places to go and arranging breakfast times around us. ONly a ten minute either way walk to the main areas in Galway. Room was ample in size for 1 night. Would come back if in this area again, cheapr price for a decent night. Only minor point couldnt prepay, but not a major issue, also a bin in the bedroom would be good! Thanks for the stay :-)

Can't say enough about how awesome this place is. It might not be some "dreamy B&B in a brilliant part of town" but believe me, it is nothing short of fantastic.

The host family is better than at any place we have stayed before - most welcoming, SUPER helpful, and just great people to talk to.

POSITIVES
-rooms always cleaned very very well
-host family is the BEST!
-location is just a 5-10 minute walk from most places

NEGATIVES
-the area is ok, nothing great

Even though the distance from everything is a teeny bit far from being lazy and not wanting to walk places....this place is a MUST stay. Great value and great family!

I booked this B&B based on the reviews on trip advisor and I wasn't disappointed. We stayed for two nights and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Birdie was very hospitable and makes the most wonderful Banana Bread - I wish I had the recipe. Only a short walk from the City Centre it allowed us to park the car and enjoy Galway. Birdie guided us on our trip to Kylemoore Abby and Connemara and we weren't disappointed with the detour that she suggested we take - the countryside was beautiful!

We stayed for two nights and we were very happy to have stayed here. One day, we planned to drive out to the Aran Islands. As it turned out, the Galway Ironman was on that morning, shutting down a lot of the roads. When we couldn't get around the road closures, we returned to the B&B. Right away, Bridie hopped in her car and asked us to follow her. She spoke with a police officer and then led us around the road closures for about 20 minutes of driving until we were on the other side. We were so impressed at how she did this for us. As a result, we made the ferry on time and had a perfect day.

The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The building seemed to have a fresh and modern interior with tasteful decorations. The bedroom was a bit smaller than we were used to, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size.

They allowed us to arrive late on our first night, which was a big plus as we were in transit from the south.

I really recommend this B&B and would stay at the next opportunity.

Room Tip: If you need a large room, I think it's possible to request it. When we arrived they said that we...
