Great spot for something a little more high market, not cheap but the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly without being overbearing. Will be back for sure.

We travelled to Galway for our wedding rings and had a fantastic, albeit inadvertent celebratory meal having stumbled up the lane way & found Kirwan's.

I suggest there is not a better Pork Belly that has passed my lips. It really is becoming a bit of a litmus test for serious restaurants. This was coupled with the most delicate scallops. Another entree was a delightful risotto with smoked fish. Mains followed, a seafood pasta & a fillet of plaice. Very good, but really how do you follow the entrees...?

Go there, have the pork belly, sip from the great wine menu & kick on in the Latin Quarter.

A very memorable night.

Visited here on a Sunday evening and it was busy. The menu is very fish orientated, but they do cater for vegetarians and meat eaters too. Our waiter was a little stuffy and full of self importance but the rest of the waiting staff were nice. We ate in Artisan Restaurant the night before and all agreed that the food, service and atmosphere was far better than here. The cost was almost the same. Would recommend.

Whilst visiting Galway, We popped in and booked a table for 6pm on a Tuesday evening. Glad we booked as it was busy with tourists and locals. We had the scallops and pork belly to start, along with the confit duck spring roll. Beautiful succulent meat cooked perfectly. To follow my partner had the the whole seabass which arrived with crispy skin and was lovely to taste. I had the chicken cordon blu which was wonderful . We thought as its a treat we will have dessert: wow! Partner had the chocolate ganache and I had the ginger sticky pudding. Amazing end to the meal . Will visit again when next in the city !!
