“Nice views and seals!”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

The harbor has both east and west piers, with a lighthouse on the end. Both piers are at least 1/2 mile long, and good for walking out and back. The harbor itself has some nice rocky coastline, and we saw several seals a couple hundred yards from shore. Much of the harbor has walking paths along it. Enjoyable, if you are staying In the area.

“Great place to walk along the breakwater”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

The breakwater is an excellent walk if the weather is good. There were loads of families out and about in this area when I was there about 8 pm.

“Best things in life are free”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

A stroll in the evening is one of the delights of Dublin. Nowhere better than the east pier Dun Laoghaire. It stretches almost a mile out into the bay and is constructed from granite from the quarry at Dalkey which lies nearby. It is a true slice of Dublin life with young and older alike enjoying the forest air. Another reward is the little shop which has opened in the fortress/lighthouse at the end of the pier. Here you can but one of the famous ice cream cones from Teddy's - an institution in Dun Laoghaire for over 50years. Fortified , stroll back listening to the clinking sounds from the many small craft moored in the harbour.

“A Maritime Treat”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

You can stroll along the waterfront take a brisk walk on East or West Piers feeling the wind in your face or just sit about eating ice-ream watching the world go by. All are possible on Dun Laoghaire Harbour. It is easily accessed with the Dart Station right in the centre you can take a train from the city centre and be there under half an hour.

This harbour has all the attractions within a small area, which includes the National Maritime Museum, various boating clubs Ice-cream parlors, coffee shops and a promenade. You can take boat trips also. A great natural attraction and you don't have to spend a fortune the only downside is the unpredictable weather.

The harbor is very cool. It is kind of a long rock that goes into the water and there is another one on the other side of it. One day I was walking on one of the harbors and there was totally a seal swimming in the water, I couldn't believe it. later on there was a bird
