I loved everything about my experience here.
The food, the ambience, the staff and the location. I will most certainly be back.

Keep up the good work :)

“Just OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

We had lunch today and found the food OK. My vegetarian breakfast was good, but my partners crepes seemed to have been cooked earlier and reheated.

My orange juice was claimed to be freshly squeezed but I'd bet a days pay that it came from a bottle.

“Brings a smile to my face walking through the door”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

Have had lunch at the Sunshine Cafe a couple of times, lovely bright interior, homely feel to the place. The menu presents a good mix of soups, sandwiches (open and otherwise) and salads together with more substantial mains. Food has always been fresh and flavorful, coffee good and string and the cakes look tempting although I have not indulged. Bit of a rarity in Dun Laoghaire, decent casual restaurant that is not fast food or "chips with everything".

“Lunching in the Sunshine Cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

The Sunshine Cafe lives up to its name, even on the dullest days its buttercup yellow decor cheers me up. The menu is varied and always freshly prepared; there's not a microwave in sight!
Starting with a choice of soups, my favourite, their Fish Chowder is a meal in itself. Following on with anything from delicious salads, cottage pie, prawns in garlic and butter sauce, home made beefburgers, baps with a great choice of fillings to scrumptious puds such as raspberry roulard, too tempting to worry about the waistline! The extra bonus is that the proprietors and staff always give me a very sunny welcome!

“Grubby cafe.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2012

They have painted it bright yellow and called it Sunshine but you cannot paint over the dirt, chipped crockery, tatty furniture, wobbly bannisters and stale food. The breakfast we had clearly been prepared a lot earlier with dried out bacon etc.
We were served quickly on the mezzanine level where we could see the dirt on the floor immediately above the uncovered food being displayed on the counter below.
Lord alone knows who has provided all the glowing reviews. Your guess!
