“Most welcoming B&B in Ireland”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

You could think that my girlfriend and me would`ve been happy with just any type of accommodation , but what Mable and Liam kept waiting for us was just perfect. The location of the house is right at Dublin bay, the interior was wonderfully furnished and the room...our bedroom was the place I could sleep in forever. The housekeepers Liam and Mable helped us in any kind of way so we could feel like being at home. It was the best accommodation in Ireland during our 3-week trip.

The positives:-
Small, friendly, welcoming, accomodating.
Bedroom was fine. had wash basin, TV, Kettle + tea/coffee.
Breakfast fine, lots of options if you don't want / like the seemingly obligatory cooked breakfast
Price is competitive locally.
The location is fantastic, easy walking distance of the ferry terminal and DART station. has some free parking

The Negatives:-
One (shared) shower room + WC, on other WC on another landing.
Place was clean, no obvious housekeeping issues, although a pedant might query the cleaning of the grout in the shower room.

Summary
If you are looking for simple (relatively) cheap accomodation its a great place to go. if you want a base to explore Dublin it works being so close to the DART service. But despite the owners passion and welcome don't expect 5* facilties, but you do get more than you'd expect for the money you pay in and around Dublin. I wouldnt' hesitate to stay there again

Room Tip: if you can get one of the bedrooms on the front (rooms 3 or 4) although there are things in the way...

Was overall very disappointed with this B&B though the owners were very kind.
I became quite ill after first night due to a damp bed.Bathroom was quite a distance from my room and no other room available to me so left after 3 days. The owners did get me an appointment with a doctor i the town on a Sunday morning.
Was quite looking forward to a longer stay there,by the sea.
Convenient for Air coach and town centre.

Room Tip: choose an en suite and bring a hot water bottle...

Liam was so inviting and an excellent host. The rooms were very large and comfy but the bathroom was not en suite, which was okay as it was only my family staying there. We were very lucky to stumble on such a wonderful place to stay and would return. Liam is a gentleman and is always asking if you need assistance and provided a tasty breakfast with excellent conversation.
