“Wonderful place disappointing food”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We went there as a group of eight for a special night out. The place is full of charm and character and the staff are good fun and professional. But the food was really pretty average. We are a bunch of food lovers and we tasted each other's food and shared our opinions and generally were underwhelmed. It felt a bit like they are living off reputation from when that standard of Italian may have been considered high end. If you have eaten in Italy, or in more up to date Italian places you may find the sauces a bit "d'olmio". It is old fashioned and in many ways this is great (staff, service, charm) but the food is old fashioned Irish Italian (heavy sauces, bland, not great quality ingredients). I really wanted to love the experience but came away just loving the environment and my friends but not the food which is not cheap. I'd love someone with a fresh eye to come in and inject a bit of life into the cooking. Then it would be top of my list to recommend

“Great Pizza”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

After a lovely walk on the pier, popped in here for lunch. Staff were lovely and we were seated on the terrace with our canine companions no hassle. We ordered a large pizza half and half on the toppings which was accommodated easily. Pizza was Amazing. Will definitely come back here again and maybe try a few more things on the menu.

“Great views and good food too”

we have eaten here twice in the past fortnight. On both occasions we ate lunch and were impressed by the selection and presentation of the grub. Not cheap but pretty good value

We ate here a while back. Very tasty. We all enjoyed it. Reasonable enough prices and a great wine list.

“So Disappointed”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Huge fan of Toscana but was so disappointed last night. Suppli was luke warm at best, asked for no oil on the plate & was it swimming in it. Meatballs were luke warm & had old dried bits of meat mixed into it. Pizzas arrived, undercooked. Hoping it was just a one off bad night
