Been here for lunch and had a wonderful time. They offer a set menu at a very reasonable price with loads of choice. Portions sizes are big, food is beautifully presented and was all really delicious! The decor and music offer an uber cool vibe about the place, even at lunch time mid week! Service was very attentive but unobtrusive. Found this restaurant by chance as I was too early to board the ferry, I will make a point of dining here now every time I travel to Dublin with work, it's a real treasure!

Had the pleasure of dining here this afternoon on a 3-course voucher meal for 2 people. We didn't have to worry about parking as we took the DART from Dublin city, which was a great bonus as it allowed us to have wine with our meal. This restaurant is in a unique setting overlooking Dún Laoghaire Harbour, and was quite busy when we arrived. The decor is very impressive, it's bright, airy, fresh and spotlessly clean. Staff were all smartly dressed, with a neat and tidy appearance. The choices on the menu far exceeded our expectations, as often with voucher deals menus can be extremely limited. We had starters of Deep Fried Brie and Salmon Cakes, followed by mains of Chicken Fricassee and Grilled Salmon served with a selection of chips and fresh vegetables - absolutely yummy. For dessert we had Assorted Ice-Creams and Bakewell Tart, all accompanied by a delicious bottle of red wine. We can't fault anything about this place, everything was top class from the pleasant servers to the general ambience. Visits were paid both to the ladies and gents toilets. Glad to report they were absolutely spotless. This won't be the last time we'll visit the Purple Ocean. The prices are very good, even without the voucher deals! It's well worth trying if you haven't been before.

Have eaten here twice both on voucher deals. Delicious fish and great value for money with the voucher although their Sunday lunch menu is good value anyway. Beautiful views of the harbour from your table and kind attentive staff

Following all the Christmas hustle and bustle, my significant other and I went out to have a relaxing meal. I expected it to be quiet so soon after Christmas and thought it would be lacking in atmosphere. How wrong I was. We were there about 7.30 in the evening and come 8.00, diners began to come in and soon there wasn't a vacant table in sight. This was not our first visit, we have been there a few times and it never fails to deliver, in my opinion, on quality food, with something to suit every taste. We are going back again next week! The view from the window at night is not as good as in the daytime as you can't see very much. We also walked from our home so parking was not an issue, but it can be for those who have to drive.

We had Sunday lunch last Sunday, a very cold day. Since our last visit, they have put in a platform floor so that those fab views can be enjoyed by far more customers.
The choice on the menu is extensive, not that many that require a supplement. Local street parking costs €2 Euro an hour, a cost to be factored in maybe!
Portion sizes are generous and they offer great warm breads too on arrival along with the iced water. Service was a little slow this time round, but We will be back.
