“Great place to meet for drinks or have dinner”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

My co-worker who lives in Dublin suggested meeting here for drinks one night and my husband and I enjoyed it so much that we returned two evenings later for dinner. This is a modern place - not a "traditional" Irish pub at all. This is in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin, which is a bit more upscale. It is a large place, but still quiet enough to have easy conversation. Service was excellent - wait staff is attentive but they are not trying to hurry you out the door. You can enjoy drinks with friends or a nice dinner as a couple. As we had spent the entire day traipsing around the city, we were dressed very casually, but were not at all out of place. The food was excellent - Pasta with a veggie and tomato ragu, and a flat-iron steak and veggies - and beautifully presented. After a long day of walking and cool weather, it was heavenly! I believe we spent about 40ish Euro for the two meals, a couple of drinks and a ginger ale.

“We were not served.”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

We were looking for food on Friday November 30th at 5.15pm. We sat down and 15 minutes later despite a bar man/a female food manager and 2 servers, not one of them even offered us a menu. The bar was very quiet at this time, so we left as they obviously didn't require the business, if between the 4 of them, they couldn't be bothered to welcome us with menus.

“A fancy venue and a superb steak and chips”
Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Staying nearby on business we visited this restaurant for a team meal. We had pre booked but the service was excellent and the steak I ordered (Irish meat of course) was cooked to perfection. Combined with the Guinness and the tall church-like ceiling and the giant clock which I loved, this all made for a very enjoyable evening indeed.

Very good food at a reasonable price.Sevice fast and friendly.Could have a conversation without the music drowning out what people were saying, like in most bars.
