We found the ferryman to be exactly what we expected. We got a warm, friendly welcome, and were so pleased to see an oldy worldly traditional pub downstairs. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the view over the river was lovely. The dining room is beautiful and the breakfast was very tasty and more than enough to start your day on. We have had a fantastic time, we've never been to Dublin before but will definitely be back and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else but the ferryman. No need to check out any other hotels the ferryman is everything you could wish for on a trip to the emerald isle!

This was a nice hotel (pub on the first floor) that was about a 15 minute walk from Trinity College, city center and O'Connell Street north of the Liffey. It looks like the hotel is undergoing a floor by floor renovation and our room hadn't yet been touched. Small shower and small bathroom though the view from our room looking over the Liffey to the convention center was beautiful. Easy access to everything and a nice walk along the Quays and the river. A little expensive for what it was but nice overall and fulfilled our purposes. Staff during breakfast was very nice and breakfast was very good.

A wonderful hotel located just far enough away from the center of the city hubbub and noise.
It is easily accessed from the airport using the 747 Air-link bus which stops across the quay at North wall Quay near the Clarion.
The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Check in and out was easy. We arrived early and allowed us to store our baggage until check in time.
The interior is tastefully decorated with period furniture, and the rooms were large tidy and clean. Our room had a day bed near the window and it was so peaceful to look out over the river at the city.
The Ferryman has three pubs at their location. The Hotel and rooms are extremely secure with electronic key access.
A hearty irish breakfast is served in the second floor pub. Which had beautiful views of the quay.
A wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!

Very genuine hotel with a very irish feeling. Llow price (about €50) including a full Irish Breakfast (the kind that keeps you going until dinner). Great friendly staff that made you feel at home.
Lobby is in a pub! Rooms are old school but charming. Free W-Fi and TV hot water kettle e t c. Located close to all tech companies . Will stay here again!

Room Tip: Get one with river view!

Had an excellent night in the Ferryman Hotel. Brilliant location for the O2(walking distance 10min)
Rooms were very neat , comfortable and tidy with a nice view over the River Liffey , the Samuel Beckett bridge and the Convention centre (nicely lit up at night). The Irish pub is excellent and the craic was mighty....then just up the stairs to bed.
The full irish breakfast was fantastic. The staff at the Ferryman were very friendly as well.
Definitely would recommend it.

Room Tip: 3rd floor front Rooms 11 -14.

I chose to stay at the Ferryman for 3 nights as it is close to the O2. I found it is also very easy to get into town on foot. My experience of the hotel was overall a good one. The room was clean and comfortable and included all essentials. Staff were friendly and breakfasts were good. The place had a homely feel to it. My only regret is that I had a room at the back of the hotel, with no view at all and early morning kitchen smells, but it was quiet.
If I go back to Dublin, I will happily stay at the Ferryman again.

Room Tip: At the back it's quiet though you get the kitchen smells and no view.
