I stayed for a conference, the location was great, right accross the river from the convention centre! At first glance the rooms are lovely, then you look closer. The bathroom is filthy, moldy showers, unvacuumed floors, stained bedding. The worst part is this is a pub, NOT A HOTEL. It's open until early hours and the noise from downstairs will keep you awake. If getting no sleep is something you enjoy, then you'll also love the daily 6am beer delivery. Metal barrels being dropped onto the pavement outside the window, enough noise to wake up the whole 'hotel'. The place also stinks of cigarettes, as the bar staff smoke inside when the pubs closed, as I discovered when checking out. Dingy, dirty, noisy, and unwelcoming. You can get nicer hotels on the other side of the river for similar price. Don't fool forth te convienient location!

I was atending a Conference in Dublin and this was close by. I wasn't impressesd by the smell in the first room htey showed me too and when I asked to be moved, I was treated like an enemy. I was moved, my bags were thrown angrily on hte floor with the staff member saying nothing as he turned and left the room. This room was dirty too and the shower stank of urine. Very noisy and tiny rooms. Don't Pay The Ferryman is the motto here!

we had a lovely break for our anniversary. the room was quite small and a bit noisy as we were above the ac units (although we did request a quiet room with a view if possible), but the guinness helped sleep! the team at the hotel were pleasant.
hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the city centre and the walk along the liffey if the weather is good, is splendid.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the ac units

Accommodation is above a lively friendly pub which is situated on the quay next to Samuel Beckett bridge. Amazing views with large arched Windows if you're in rooms 1 or 2. Clean rooms, strong shower which was really refreshing. Breakfast was average. apx 30 min walk to main shopping area or 14euro by cab. Near to the Dublin eye. Initially I thought this place was too far out but having walked around there is so much more to see in this area than the usual spa shop etc. Worth a stay.

stayed only for one night here on 19th June 2011 when in Dublin for the amazing "Take That" concert at Croke Park. Arrived early enough to settle into our double room. The view rom the window was great, looking over the river Liffey, we could see a Russian war ship of some description moored, that was strange to see, but a topic of conversation. The room was basic, but cozy and warm. Our only 'nitpick' was the double bed was infact two singles pushed together. Not what you expect, but they were comfortable and clean, and we were only there for the one night, so we let it go. We had something to eat at the bar, and that was nice.... the barmaid asked us if we were there for the concert and when we said 'yes', she put on a Take That cd. This got us into the mood..!! then off we went to the concert.
We could walk it there in 20 minutes which was handy, but we treated ourselves to a taxi.
We strolled back and went straight to our room. A quiet night in a quiet hotel was brilliant. The next day we went down for breakfast. We were offered a choice of a basic 'bacon and eggs and toast' or a full English - which sounded funny in Dublin. We settled for the basic and were quite happy with it. There was also cereal available and fruit juices, but no 'continental' option on show.
Overall, a nice stay and would certainly stay here again.
The staff were very friendly, with no complaints about them all all. A family run place and it showed. Thanks to them all for putting the cap on a nice weekend.

Nice and friendly place to stay beside the Liffey. Grey view of the "cube in the tube" & Samuel Beckett bridge. Very reasonably price in a very expensive city. Good bar under rooms but not much noise. Full irish breakfast included. Will stay again next time I'm coming to Dublin.
