Went here on Sunday night on suggestion of a friend. There was an early-bird menu on - 2 courses for €22. Started off with chicken wings with a blue cheese dip and celery sticks. Best chicken wings I've ever had (mouth is watering at the thought of them while writing this) They were coated in a lovely light crispy batter and the portion size was really good 7+ wings I think. For the main I went for 9oz rib-eye with hand-cut chips. Rib-eye was a nice cut, very little fat, char-grilled with lovely succulent flavour. The chips were cooked to perfection. We had a couple of special beers to wash it down and the bill came to €68. My friend had the Cod which looked amazing. The service was very good, the staff put some pride and effort into presenting the menu and were just the right side of attentive. Venue itself is nice and cosy with a warm unassuming candle-lit ambience. Definitely a nice place if you wanted a romantic meal for two. Will definitely check out again the next time in in Dublin.

Four of us went along one Sunday for an early bird meal and were plesantly surprised with the quality of the food as well as the nice relaxed atmosphere and good service! We ordered off the set early bird menu, but were still able to order steaks for a small supplement! They have a full bar and so we were able to indulge in a couple of drinks/glasses of wine with dinner. The starters were of a good size and very tasty! The mains were very well cooked and the veg was not overdone. Dessert was delicious and I definitely recommend the cheesecake!! Overall it is great value for money and conveniently located on the edges of temple bar. You dont have to traverse the usual drunken rabble to get to it! Check out the steak night and early bird menus as they are kind on your pocket but still provide a good quality meal!

We had lunch here just before leaving Dublin to travel home. What a great send off. They offer tremendous variety and great prices on the lunch special. We had two courses for 12 euro each (soup, and fish and fries). All the food was excellent, the ambience beautiful, and service attentive. Best place we ate in Dublin. Wish I had discovered this place before our last day...It deserves all the accolades it gets. Also had a great front window seat in comfy armchairs and watched the world go by. It doesn't get any better than this.

I ate here recently and had a rib eye steak for 12 euro. The steak was served to perfection, tender and served simply with chips. My colleague ordered a chicken dish which was also very tastey and great value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were also very friendly.

This review is long overdue having visited Dublin last year for a week, but... found this place in a guide, was highly rated then and so we gave it a try. Small place, unassuming, Temple Bar area so a good location though plenty of competition. We went in without a reservation on a week night and the place was quite busy. Having to wait for a table they offered us a small cocktail table near the entrance - not normally a favorite place to sit but it turned out to be just fine. What a great meal and service, younger fellow who runs the place really knows his business, very nice selection of wines, cheese plate starter was great and the pork belly was fantastic! Contrary to what we had heard we really enjoyed the food in Dublin but this place was our favorite of the visit. We made time for one last visit before we left, the manager remembered our wine selection from a few nights before and again, the food and service were great. This will be our first choice to dine when we return to Dubin.
