We struck up a conversation with a Dubliner at the train station and she told us to try out this restaurant, so we did. After a short commute from Heuston over to Temple Bar, we found Luigi's very easily and were delighted that, while it was quite busy, we were immediately seated.

Our family had two pizzas and an order of chicken wings. All the food came our very quickly and was very tasty. The pizzas are Neapolitan style, while a bit chewier than its Italian counterpart. Still, it was very thin and a massive amount of food. We brought home the equivalent of an entire pizza after filling ourselves too much.

There are many choices in Temple Bar and I would recommend adding this to your list.

Had the two course dinner menu on a Saturday evening which was excellent value at €24. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Chicken wings were as as good as the Elephant and Castle!

Popped in here (group of 4 having been let down with another local restaurant). Have to say there was a great buzz- especially for a Tuesday night around 7pm. Good mix of locals & tourists and the menu was pretty extensive. Very good value early bird and the service was pretty good too. Would definitely go back.

I have been here a number of times over the years and have always had a good time. The food and drink was great and the service was fine.

Was in dublin for a night and decided that we'd have dinner in luigi's even after having a bad experience there last year we choose to give it another go thinking thing might have improved, and god were we wrong we order starter of chicken wings to share among 3 of us which was fine, but after 40 minutes had passed we still had not got our main courses, there had been 4 other tables came after us which had all been served & nearly finished with us still sitting there waiting, we called a member of staff who went and got us the manager who really should not be a manager as she hasn't a clue how to keep the place in order, when finally we got our food and it was awful tasteless & cold so when we complained about it the manager didn't even want to know she really has no manner, so before we left we choose to have a cocktail for dessert when a really really rude member of staff told us we had 2 leave as they wanted the table, so after waiting over an hour for service this was there way off dealing with us by puahing us out, i would never again visit luigi's in dublin it was a horrible experience, i often visit the one in cork where the food & staff are so much nicer. So please beware and stay away from the place go visit tgi fridays so much nicer
