“Memorable French Meal Outside of Dublin Castle”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

For our final night in Dublin my sister and I headed to Chez Max to share a bottle of wine and their delicious camembert appetizer with toasts. For an entrée we had mussels in a delicious cream sauce. We sat outside and lingered there for hours as the sun set and our glasses emptied.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a bit of French comfort in Dublin. It's also in the perfect vicinity of Temple Bar for pub hopping.

“An authentic taste of Paris in Dublin”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

What a real find in the heart of Dublin, Ireland!
Be transported to les Champs Élysées for a couple of hours and savour the feel, taste, touch and ambiance of the beauty of Paris and the intoxicating Joie de vivre that is so central to French life and culture. The food is really good and the moules marinierre have really got to be tried. The staff are all native French and really make you welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended for the quality of the food and service and a real cultural experience. Why not visit the beautiful State Apartments of Dublin Castle which are right beside this restaurant, before having lunch at Chez Max!

“Excellent French cuisine”

As a Frenchman living in Cork, Chez Max has become the place I come to dine in on every venue to Dublin. The food is great, the service is good, the staff is friendly. I recommend it strongly.

“Best steak dinner - EVER!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

What can more can I say? Steak and chips may not be art, but this was pretty damned close.
They have captured the feel of a Parisienne restaurant right slap bang in the middle of templebar. I broke into GCSE french and forgot where I was!
