“Great venue, dodgy area”
Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Great venue, with good atmosphere. Food is non-fussy bar food which is fairly well priced but tastes great and wonderfully presented. The only draw backs are that beverages are very expensive and when the shops close and sun goes down it's a fairly dangerous area to walk around.

“No need to pray. The food is good.”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

We arrived for lunch about 12.30. The resturant was just starting up for lunchtime service but a bit of a buzz was already evident.
On the pleasant waiters recommendation I had the day's special of pork belly.
My wife had a salad. We were bothe pleasantly surprised and delighted with the standard and quality of both dishes. The staff were also very professional and pleasant.
We will return. Very good value for money.

“Lunch Break from Christmas Shopping”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

Heard good things about The Church as ideal for lunch break while shopping in Henry Strreet. The old converted church has a good athmosphere, staff were very friendly but food was only average. The salmon fish cakes well mainly patato and the 2special of "speak sandwich" was tatseless. Food let this lovely confieniently locatated place down. and you can also have a dring - good selection of beers and wines. Overall, if food better, then this would be a great oasas to use while shopping rather than fast food outlets.

“Great food; fun location”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This is a restaurant that used to be a big church. Fun atmosphere. Large bar area with overstuffed chairs.

We had drinks and dinner in the bar. Friendly waitress. Food was very good and served quickly

“The perfect meeting place”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The Church, situated in the heart of Dublin City,is the perfect meeting place after a days shopping or touring. The building is beautifully restored, while preserving the Church atmosphere. The stained glass windows, the organ, the commemorative memorabilia, the crypt & the gallery all add to a distinctive atmosphere. There is also a choice of dining from the casual but very convivial in the bar to the more formal in the Gallery. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is efficient and the food is reliable and good quality. There is a good choice of drinks served by very friendly staff. Of course the bust of Arthur Guinness at the bar is a big photo opportunity for many first time visitors.
