We ate with friends who had eaten here before a few times. The building itself is a series of 5 caverns which in earlier days was a warehouse for the storage of whiskey and tobacco. We had a special offer which was for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine. It was all perfect! The menu offered a few choices of starters, mains and desserts which were all inviting. The service was very good, the surroundings fabulous and food excellent. Will hope to return soon!

This is where we had our last meal, and we truly saved the best for last. They were so accommodating and friendly and the chocolate pot was fantastic!

Really lovely venue. However it’s rather expensive and The staff weren’t overly friendly either which really let it down.

Visited recently with friends for brunch. Whilst the venue is bright and vibrant (unfortunately that's the only positive).

I ordered the fish cake and when considering the price the portions were pathetically inadequate. Furthermore, some of our party had to wait an additional 20 minutes for poached eggs, I guess the hens were on strike that day!!! No explanation, patronising and hollow apology.

Dublin has much better eateries to offer.

We are on a weekend away in Dublin and have just been for dinner Ely.

The restaurant is lovely, being in an old wine vault, and we had a fab booth table for the four of us. The food was nice but expensive (€30 fillet steak) and unfortunately there were many things wrong with the service that tainted our evening.
- it took 20 mins after we arrived to rake our drink order
- a further 20 mins to take our food order
- our waiter was a trainee and not only split our wine over the table, he also broke the cork in the red wine
- the starters were devine (the prawns were amazing)
- our food order came out incorrectly
- we all had steak yet had to ask for steak knives
- the food and sides were cold
- we ordered four desserts but only two turned up
- we asked for our bill and yet asking for it twice, it eventually turned up after another 20 minutes

Got a bill that came to €240 for four people , the service was not at all up to the mark. We did complain and the manager took €40 off of the bill, which was appreciated however we did feel that the manager was not bothered that our service had been awful. For a restaurant that charges a lot of money for its food, the service was not at all adequate and for this reason, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s such a shame as the setting is really stunning.

Thank Anna J
