howards way Rathgar has become one of my favourite dublin dining experiences. Even on the week before Christmas they still gave their special value menu less then €50 for two courses a bottle of wine and coffee for two people
Menu is restricted but a big bowel of mussels, steak a bottle of wine and coffee all excellent is good enough for me check their web site for more details

We visited Howards Way recently for lunch. I had heard good comments about it but unfortunately I was disappointed. The food was just average. It always seems to do good business so maybe I was just unlucky. Will try again

always good value and a varied menu with something to suit everyone - very pleasant staff, their sister establishment in Churchtown is very good also

A brilliant find in the heart of rathgar, parking is somewhat difficult to acquire. On viewing the facade one might instantly turn their eye to the newly decorated bijou cafe across the way, however one must grab the opportunity to try something new.on entering the cafe do not be disheartened by the uncomfortable chairs and mass produced tables. On seeing the menu the endless opportunities will have you baffled. An endless array of wonderfully healthy dishes and the opportunity to have an all day breakfast. The serving size was generous , the food tasty but some ballymaloe relish would have not gone astray. The service comes with a smile and one will leave this cafe feeling fuller and warmer.

This is a fairly basic cafe - where builders and businessmen eat. Stopped for breakfast en route south and had a 'healthier' option breakfast of scrambled eggs on brown bread with tea.
My serving was perfect and hit the spot. Having last tried this place about four years ago, I did not relish the prospect of the big breakfast fry up (as a number of the other diners were tucking into). Happy to have made the choice but unless on my own, would probably not try this for lunch or dinner.
