This is a great restaurant, serving the best quality steaks in this beautiful cosy restaurant. The staff were attentive, helpful, but not intrusive and we enjoyed a super meal. Thoroughly recommended.

In a spot near a couple of great little pubs, this place really delivers on the steak front. One of our group had an over cooked piece of rump and the waitress immediately replaced it and took it off the bill. Great service.

This was my fourth or fifth time in this restaurant. The Early Bird Menu is good value for money. For starters, I had Buffalo Chicken Wings which were served with hot sauce which had a nice level of spiciness. For mains, I had beer battered haddock which was served with crushed mint peas, tartare sauce and home-cut fries. I got three pieces of fish which was fresh and the batter was very nice. It could have done with a few more peas but in general it was a generous portion. For dessert I had the double chocolate tart served with vanilla ice cream which was nice although there ice-cream was a little icy. Staff were friendly and the ambiance was warm and inviting. There was an issue with certain items not ordered being on my bill but staff were quick to rectify their mistake. Overall, a very nice restaurant which I would recommend.

We loved this pub, especially as it was warm and inviting on a rainy day. We were recommended it by the tour guide on one of the bus tours and it did not disappoint. F. X. Buckley are a chain or sorts in the city (unsure about further outside Dublin) and specialise in steaks, they're even mentioned in one of James Joyce's novels! The location on the edge of Phoenix park puts it in a good position if you are going to/from the park or the zoo.

Very good service by the waiters and a very nice atmosphere. The bar is in the same style as the Victorian age when it was first built and I appreciated the historical aspect of it, also the fact that a few US Presidents had drank/eaten here added to the overall atmosphere of the place. We both had the very good value wrap and soup combo for 10 Euro, which in addition to being good value was tasty, hot and filling. So much so that I had it at another F. X. Buckley steakhouse a couple days later!

Would definitely recommend and return.
