Many of the pubs in this area have a group of regulars. Ryan's felt very different in this sense, and had a very eclectic group of patrons. The cheese plate made a great snack!

Had heard so much about this restaurant so decided to treat ourselfs.arrived in about 7 on a Sunday evening with no reservation but the waitress said she would fit us in.gorgeous room with a fireplace on either end and really tastefully decorated.I had the kidneys for starter which were ok but the sauce they were in tasted like a packet oxtail soup that hadnt been blended properly. My main was a steak with baked potato.now that's exactly what I got! No garnish just a microwaved baked potato that tasted like smash and a steak.granted the steak was delicious but at the price I paid well it should be.I'm glad I went cause I wanted to try it but I won't be back.

Ryan's is an excellent establishment. We were welcomed by a lovely and enthusiastic waitress who demonstrated sincere and very positive customer service skills. The food was perfectly cooked and well presented. We followed up the meal with Guinness and whiskey downstairs in the pub definitely recommended

Saw a lot of reviews on Trip Advisor about this place and they were pretty much all glowing. Since we were staying at the Ashling Hotel Ryan's was literally two minutes down the road.

Took a wonder down and were worried they might not fit us in, on arrival there were a number of tables for two's upstairs in the restaurant - perfect!

We were met by a waitress who was extremely polite and attentive throughout the entire meal, there were two waitresses working and both had excellent customer services skills.

The restaurant (and pub) are both very homely with some interesting quirks - thinking the individual lights above each of the tables.

To start I had the warm goats chess with beetroot and walnuts. It was delicious!

For mains we both had a 12oz Rump steak - these were cooked perfectly. Ordered it medium rare and it came out pink / red in the middle and was a great piece of meat, thick and succulent.

The wine list is extensive - we had the tempranillo, was a good bottle of wine and complemented the meal very well.

Finished it all off with an Irish Coffee - these were nice as well, not the best in Dublin but OK.

The prices in the restaurant were excellent value for the food received and was certainly filling!

On finishing off in the restaurant we headed downstairs to the pub. The atmosphere is friendly, the bar staff were also great. Ordered the 'Masters' whisky tasting platter and the Red Breast was out so the bar man gave them to us for 12 euros each - even at full price it is much cheaper here than at the Jameson distillery. Have to say that the Jameson 18 year was delicious! Also washed this down with a few pints of the black stuff!

Overall, excellent food, excellent staff and excellent atmosphere! A must! It is easy to get to, if you have a leap card just get the Luas to either Museum and walk straight down the road or take it to Hueston and walk back across the river and turn left, you won't regret it!

Have NEVER been disappointed by Buckleys!! Very reasonably priced Fabulous steaks. These people do it right. Great atmosphere in any of their restaurants. Can't wait for a table?... Same great food served at the bar! Beware... Portions are generous!
