Description: Just off of St Stephen's Green One Pico is one of Dublin's hottest dining destinations. But with acclaimed chef Eammon O'Reilly at the helm and a number of accolades including; "2010 Dublin Chef of The Year" by The Irish Restaurant Awards, but most importantly (in our opinion) a Toptable Gold award. One Pico isn't all about fashion and being seen in the latest hot spot. Exceptionally good service is the ideal accompaniment to stunning modern classic food all beautifully prepared on the premises and a simple, sophisticated décor where intimacy is guaranteed. A monthly changing menu ensures you'll never grow bored of One Pico's impressive seasonal cooking with its homely Irish twist.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed February 2, 2009

We decided to eat here as they were doing a good deal of €45 for a four course menu. It was excellent value and the food was of a very high standard. I last ate here 6 years ago and One Pico hasn't changed a bit. We both commented on the lack of imagination in the decor of the main room and upstairs is extremely dated. It looks like it hasn't been touched since the early nineties.
The evening was pleasant enough but we also noticed something else strange; at no point did any member of staff check on our meals, or in fact the meals of any of the other diners. In fact no-one even asked us if we had enjoyed our meal when we asked for the bill or were leaving and it wasn't until we had actually left the building that we realised no-one had attempted to even pass pleasantries with us during service apart from the guy who took our coats. It was practically a silent service. Now, neither of us need or want to be entertained by restaurant staff but it was so entirely absent that we couldn't help getting the impression that the staff didn't really care one way or the other whether we had enjoyed our meal, or even came back. So, even though the food was great, the lack of atmosphere would probably not make me rush to go back.

“Overrated”
Reviewed August 15, 2008

Went there with colleagues. The wine list was interesting. They had a good german draught beer (Krombacher) which is a big plus. Nice asian waiter. The food was ok I guess, but not really great. I have to admit that we had a set menu (Salmon or Chicken - one as boring as the other) which was chosen by somebody who really isn't an expert on food... Still I have to say that everything was overpriced big time.

Disappointing. Some of the food was very good, some not. Found the service annoying -- rushed and constantly stopping by the table to pour more wine/interrupt
