“good value high end place”

what's not to like from this mitchellen starred resturant - excellent value pre-dinner - good even when there is no play to go to!

“Get your wallet out”
Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

This
Should be reserved for special occasions only I feel or An extremely important business meeting. I found this space a bit odd and it interfered with the atmosphere. I expected the food to be much nicer. You can get a lot more for this kind of money somewhere else. However if you want to impress somebody this is probably the place. For you.

“Lunch anyone???”
Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Recently visited Chapter One on Parnell Sq & our party of four were greeted by the maitre d, we were practically falling over the staff who couldn't do enough for us. We arrived a little early but our table was available so we took our seats. The fresh bread selection was fab especially the sour dough, loved the way it was presented & cut on the trolley at the table. We went for the two course lunch menu for €29 & we had a very tasty treat. I chose the hake with razor clam & spiced pumpkin sauce, delicious & the presentation was so colourful. Others went for the beef , pork & all left clean plates!! For dessert there was no escaping the chocolate mousse however when it arrived it wasn't what we expected. It was served in a clear, oval shaped glass on a white plate with no garnish, sprig of mint etc so it was quite bare. We were expecting a mousse with other elements including the lemon marshmallow on the plate. Having said that the dessert was delicious.
I can't fault the customer care of the staff, they were very attentive. If I was to change anything about the restaurant itself it would be the half leather aprons some of the staff wore, awful-reminded me of a butchers apron!!
I am really looking forward to my next visit & I would definitely recommend this Michelin starred restaurant to everyone.

“Kitchen Table - well worth the experience”
Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Wow, booked the kitchen table and all of the 7 courses including wine matches were excellent. The staff were really friendly and took the time to answer our questions and explain each course. Would definitely go again.
